*Glenn* 855 Report post Posted February 11, 2010 (edited) They were great little cars in their day My mum and I had one of those many years ago. A mate of mine Michael Ryan and Jimmy Richards (yes JR) we did our apprenticships at the same time, back when JR first started racing Escorts, they put a midget Ford V8 60 into one. I also had a 69 Ute running a 1300cc, cam, extractors and side draught. I wish I still owned that. Went on our honeymoon in it. bravo 35 Report post Posted February 11, 2010 I had an Escort panel van exactly like that one (same colour) Was my first car! A mate of dads put a v8 in a Morris. Mum had a Morris 1000 van with a worked 1300 cortina motor in it when she was in her 20's. She was a nurse so she'd be sitting at the lights in her nurse uniform in this little morris van, and blokes would pull up in their kingswoods or whatever looking staunch and trying to show off to the pretty nurse and she'd school them on the green light. E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted February 11, 2010 (edited) A Morrie isn't a "Euro" it's British. It's like calling a Ferrari "American" I guess if it were made in Ireland (being part of the EU) it might slip in on a technicality, but NO. bellicose 9 Report post Posted February 11, 2010 (edited) Here's a test for Friday morning what is the brown car sitting next to that morry in post 1. I say a HA viva? Victor or round headlight Avenger? Grille where it goes 'round headlight looks later than HA Viva. I would DD a tidy Morrie if i had one. I miss all the english cars i've had now Edited February 11, 2010 by bellicose

Last time I looked in an atlas Britian was still a part of Europe so unless there has been a huge land shift that has moved the UK over to America, then that statement is entirely wrong. PRO TIP: Britain is part of Europe, and Italy isn't part of America. EU and Europe are two different things. Norway and Switzerland are part of Europe but not in the EU. So is a lot of Eastern European countries. You mean Britain is no longer part of the EU - Hooray, at last! Pack the bags love we're going back!Just checked, and unfortunately Britain still hasn't come to it's senses and is still ruled by Sausage and garlic munchers based in Brussels. Being even MORE pedantic, a Morris is ENGLISH not BRITISH, made entirely in England. Playing guess the brown car, I'm not sure on the Avenger, possibly a late square headlight model, edge of guard is not right for early round headlight. I would say, a Morris Marina (keeping in the Morris family)?
bellicose 9 Report post Posted February 11, 2010 I think you 2 may be right "Marina" Thats pretty sad how many of us know older British cars by looking at that tiny bit of guard/light.
