M Coupe Work VS XX

Recommended Posts

Got these for my E46 M3 to discover that they are equally at home on my M Coupe. Thanks `craze01`.

Work rims are so much win on any car but that is perfection.

I'd want the 17x9's all around.

Apart from the performance reasons, I never found the appeal in stagged wheels, just looks weird.

Clean, simple, decent dish from factory.

Please correct me if i'm wrong here......

It's my understanding that 'staggered' fitment wheels were simply manufacturers copying what Porsche did on the 911 because people thought it looked cool.

Of course the 911 did it for the silly engine placement they were stuck with.

I don't believe there is any performance advantage to a staggered setup besides the ability to run larger rubber on the rear for a more powerful car and get extra dish.

Of course your car would turn in better if you infact had the same tyre size on the front, but in the majority of cases this would be overkill.

Upgraded the rears from 255`s to 275`s. Certainly helps complete the picture.

KW coilover kit to go in shortly.

Needs at least 12-15mm spacer to get the rear to sit out like the front.

(still prob. less than the offset difference between the Mcoupe et8 & the E46 M3 they were for ~et28 IIRC).

Sorry Ray, can't have everyone on here blowing their load, will just ruin the paint work.
