Pretty sure Ray @ HellBM has gearbox conversions for E36 M3s listed on TradeMe, including fitting.

Car looks to be in good knick other than the box, and at $12,000 could be good buying for someone.

I haven't seen that car for a while, but it used to be mint.

It was owned by Tony Gordon (panelbeater) for a long time, and it was at a few track days, but mostly seemed to be driven by his Mrs. He has an E30 M3 for a while too - haven't seen it lately, but it might still be hidden away.

If we look at the cheapest new M3 Coupe at $160k , and take off the Buynow of 12k, that leaves $148 K depreciation.

thats why i laugh at people that upgrade to later model cars solely because of fuel economy reasons

How do you get these parts in and drill out the housing without getting swarf through it

Although getrag do change things quite often so maybe some models are different

If some does buy it i'd be keen to purchase the smg gearbox
