Anyone know this E30 Convertible?

Recommended Posts

Looks stunning. I would agree with the sellers comment 'This is the best German engineering at a time I believe BMW was designing its greatest looking cars.'

Might need a bit of TLC up close as pictures tend to hide things.

Could be a good base for a project if it's a straight car structurally etc.

Looks real nice, That rear end is pretty damn low though, considering it's a pre-facelift with higher rear arches and still tucking alot of tyre..

I would prefer a facelift too but there aren't many that come up too often.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Yeah I plan to tidy it up a lot, especially the interior. Hopefully I should have my e46 sold in the next couple days and will pick this up in the weekend depending if it all checks out.

Couple questions, what kit is on it? being a 325 I assume it's a 6 cyl right? Not a 4 cyl as he says.

And lastly, the 190,000 is most likely miles. Is that too much for one of these (300,000km's)? I won't be daily driving it or anything, but just a bit worried it might start falling apart.

Yeah it will have a M20 6 pot. He says it has a zender kit - looks nice. 190 could be km's... I have an 87 e30 couple imported from the UK and my odometer is in Km's.

^^ I'm afraid you might as well ignore the numbers on it then, as it certainly wasn't fitted to the car when new. Has been swapped over at some point.

^ Maybe... From memory it said KM gauges on the VIN lookup info sheet... Carjam history also showed Km from first rego'd date from memory.

Maybe just faulty memory though

Pm me the last 7 of your VIN and I'll double check it, something sounds a little screwy.

I take it that is the option list for the Cab at the start of thread?

Shame the m-sport steering wheel and cross spoke alloys have been lost along the way. It has gained the 325i badge on the boot as it was supplied de-badged.

Looks in pretty good nick apart from the interior, would be good if it found a good home to tidy it up. Go for it!!

Being an old fart (with an E30 cab), is this good or bad? Does this make me a "hipster"?? <_<

Hipster reporting in. Would like 'vert to knock about in. Although it would pain me so bad not having the FL. Plastidip the chrome?

I think I may have driven this 5 years or so ago? Previous owner in Ponsonby? Price looks good anyway.

If you're an old fart, you are the original hipster anyway (if you had a fat moustache in the 80's), so you can pull it off my friend.
