polley 916 Report post Posted October 22, 2013 No where does it say the driver was drunk. He could have had 1 beer and they would say alcohol was involved
Phil-540i 166 Report post Posted October 22, 2013 No where does it say the driver was drunk. He could have had 1 beer and they would say alcohol was involved How bout the bit 'Alcohol was a factor in the crash'..................bit like excessive speed was more than likely a factor in the crash. Hitting the tree / lamp post was a factor in the crash. Leaving the road was a factor in the crash............ High odds though that he 'might' have been already charged with 'exceeding breath alcohol level' before NZ Police said 'alcohol was a factor in the crash'........ And even if he's 'not over the limit' - insurance can still refuse to pay out anyway in most cases.........depending on how your contract is worded.....
