Catch is, also no registration (deregistered) Is very tidy except drivers seat Anyone want it? Looking at $1500 or so. Very happy to deliver to Auckland if required

_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) Any photos? Whats the k's? auto or manual? will get some up later today its at 188xxx, and yes manual. auto 316i no way are they worth having, but the manual ones are good if you drive them for what they are. Try and drive them hard and you will find they are no better economy than any other E30 or other BMW. I used to daily a 316i manual coupe and i would regularly get around 7-8L/100km if you nanna the sh*t out of it. come into their own in traffic, only enough fuel to keep a sewing machine ticking over. _ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted April 29, 2014 (edited) Does it do phat skids? once you put an M52 or M62 in it yep definitely. Probably does one wheeler peelers if your super gay, at least they will be rear wheel drive though The way you're selling this makes me want to buy it alone.. haha Its ideally suited to be a race car really. --- Here are some photos: Seats have been swapped, door cards and drivers seat are a navy blue colour, rest of the seats are black. Would also explain why it has rear headrests, that no 316i has AFAIK Missing foglight blanks If sold at asking price and if required by buyer will come with a proper BMW air box as long as the M20 one is the same as M40 which i think they are, and will also fit one of the stereos from the pile here, probably a clarion or something. Edit: and never mind the plates that are on it, just put those on there so that the car doesn't draw attention to itself when i had to put it on the road over anzac weekend, and to take it over the pit at my mates this weekend coming. car is dereg. original plate is OM3571 Edited April 29, 2014 by _Ethrty-Andy_
dubman 39 Report post Posted April 29, 2014 (edited) 316i's are magical little cars; rare for a reason no fancy electrics to worry about no sunroof that rusts you'll always know what time it is no windows to fix Easy to service, roomy engine bay and takes great abuse. Because no power Edited April 29, 2014 by dubman

Because no power yes, my 316i coupe (one that is still in my signature) i used to have i loved like i shouldn't have. i don't know what it is about them. no power, so you are forced to drive them well to keep the pace you have accumulated there. Unfortunately (or not) i got offered stupid money for it shortly after fitting 15" basket weaves etc and taking it to Southwards to have some photos professionally done, the wrong person saw them and it got sold. Ahmedsinc 414 Report post Posted April 29, 2014 So poverty it didn't even get a tacho. (!!) Since when were tachometers a factory option??
_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted April 29, 2014 So poverty it didn't even get a tacho. (!!) Since when were tachometers a factory option?? probably were on the 316i. no clock in the middle by the stereo, was relocated to the cluster. Probably cheaper to produce. my old 316i had a normal cluster with rev gauge, and also had the clock next to the radio like normal.

nath 134 Report post Posted April 29, 2014 My first car 20something cars ago was a white 316i coupe, probably the best car I have owned too. My current manual 320i project E30 I swear has less guts and is less drivable than the 316i was.

There must be something else that can be stripped out - spare wheel, tools, fuel flap....................really need a German accountant across this Surprisingly it does have those things. and a jack too. None of this stupid gooey tube crap the new BMWs have. it also had a sticker saying "pardon my swag" on the back window, but i wasn't sure what swag was, maybe some sort of infectious disease it caught while in hamilton??? so i took that off.
