deeveus 81 Report post Posted August 11, 2014 I think I'm going to go this way, with the sprayer, paint (4 litres) and the gloss (2 litres) I'm looking around $700 to get this car painted up.

antil33t 90 Report post Posted August 11, 2014 Lucky for me my aunty owns the place lol. Sweet, hook us up. It's only pricey because Rainbows buying power will be pretty small compaed to somewhere like Repco stocking it

deeveus 81 Report post Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) Ok so car is fully legal now. Originally failed a wof on rust, lights and more rust but all sorted now. Have ordered the paint (hellrot of course) I've bought the other EXA the guy had as it's got a compete set of parts like lenses windows e.c.t. And it's a manual. I'm hoping at some stage to convert it to manual as the auto box is just a pig. I'm hoping this will be straight forward! Picture of rust removal. Will post pics when it's entirely panel & painted and rims done. Edited September 1, 2014 by The Diesel Guy

deeveus 81 Report post Posted September 1, 2014 Another Exa? You've gone mad. This ones rusted to f**k but has only 140kms and has a full set of parts. Hoping it will be the donor for a manual conversion.

deeveus 81 Report post Posted October 22, 2014 Ok so almost 100% done. I ended up doing it myself and whilst I made a hash of it in places it has improved, quoted $2500 for a cash job to do it, I done the whole lot myself for under a grand including buying a compressor and spray gear. It's still one ugly looking bitch but even the wife said it looks a little more respectable. Wheel alignment and new chrome wheel nuts on yesterday and decals put on a few days back.

deeveus 81 Report post Posted October 22, 2014 if only it had a mid mounted m50 turbo.. it does silly. The rear windows are pictures as behind those windows is the fury of a N57S tripple turbo.
