jwde30 81 Report post Posted March 7, 2015 So it's been a while. I've just been driving the car as much as I can, smashing holes in the ratty old exhaust and doing little maintenance bits and pieces. I've slowly been chipping away at a set of wheels, they should be done in the next month or two. Here's a couple photos of the fronts.

jeffbebe 1559 Report post Posted March 8, 2015 Old wheels are 100% betterer. I agree. The original wheels are perfect, but these are a great 'spare set'!

Guest MP0wer Report post Posted April 13, 2015 Not what I was expecting, But "She"'s still very Classy, Generous, Comfortable, although a bit old, she knows her way around and has timeless shape, lacking in a lot of youthful beauties, cars I mean, these days. The world needs more of them.
jwde30 81 Report post Posted April 19, 2015 Replaced my RH front suspension arm as the ball joint was shot. In other news my wheel parts finally arrived. Powder coater should be done in the next week. Then I'll assemble them and put them on!
_BRS_ 209 Report post Posted April 20, 2015 Can't wait to see the wheels completed and fitted, we all know you win at the BMW game
Apex 693 Report post Posted April 20, 2015 Excite. I do like your project. Have seen a few in this colour combo.. or I have seen your car a few places. Plus, the thread title always pulls me it. Cougars are a lot of fun, so much experience at that age, plus they seem to be very comfortable in their own skin.. even if that skin is a bit saggy in places.

hybrid 1043 Report post Posted May 2, 2015 Will look quite different ... that gold should suite the paint colour nicely. The whole package will be a bit of a looker for sure.

qube 3570 Report post Posted May 2, 2015 is that lip making the wheels go from 16s to 18s?
hybrid 1043 Report post Posted May 2, 2015 If your going for the look i think you are, you can get 35% profile tires over say 40% ... they look way better and looks less nznissancefiroflatpeakwayfarer, fk453 225/35r18 if theyre 8.5 ... as you go down in width of the wheels just drop the tyre size from there. Added bonus of it benefit legal too.
jwde30 81 Report post Posted May 3, 2015 Yea it's going to have pretty small tires. Thanks for the comments everyone!
