_ethrty-Andy_ 2136 Report post Posted December 22, 2014 i find it funny that its a supposedly a common fault, i have no doubt it is, but in over 25 E30s passed through my ownership now not one has had a dead odo!
E30 325i Rag-Top 2963 Report post Posted December 22, 2014 True. The way some issues get bandied about you'd think that every car fitted with that particular speedo / gear-box / engine etc. was affected by the problem. So far I am one from three on the odometer issue.

I've wondered about stocking some things like this. The odd bits that the other guys tend not to keep. On a related note - how do I test a cluster when it's out of the car? manamari 1 Report post Posted December 12, 2016 What's garagistics shipping to nz? Surely the gears could be 3d printed in nz way cheaper

Surely the gears could be 3d printed in nz way cheaper I'm sure they could, and it's probably not worth buying just the gears from them. Get some polybushes or something else useful, and add the gears to the order. The VDO gearkit is USD17, the Motometer one is $30. Worldwide shipping is USD 13.95.
