M5V8 337 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 (edited) that. would be a serious handful i honestly don't understand this emphasis on massive power figures. It's mostly unusable. I had a 650hp GTR. That was 4wd and running 265 series semi slick tyres. Even on medium boost (480 odd hp) I would struggle for traction in anything less than 4th gear. Most of the time I could only use a very little % of throttle to keep the car moving forward. This thing would be so much worse. You would struggle to get traction in this only anything less than a prepped drag strip. Add in no cage and it would be a very scary preposition. Probably why he's selling. BreakMyWindow 1874 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 I know the dude who built this. There is a genuine reason for sale. A lot of hard work has gone in to the build and if it's anything like the mk2 Cortina with a 450hp vr4 engine that he built, the attention to detail is second to none. CamB 48 Report post Posted April 30, 2015 (edited) ^ LOL Interested to see that wastegate. I have one of them in the cupboard with a spare Holset waiting for me to go all Swedish on an M10. I wondered if it would be able to keep boost down on a big turbo (its an Audi wastegate and has a pretty small valve).
