Michael. 2313 Report post Posted May 23, 2015 (edited) Interesting. Is there no button for that option? While on that topic, why is the edited message orange banner so massive and ugly? Seems unnecessary. I tend to delete my posts and repost if I make a simple typo. As below......... Edited May 23, 2015 by Michael.
JoKer 58 Report post Posted May 24, 2015 I think you've got like 2 minutes (or short time period) to rectify mistakes, otherwise report to moderator its a good security feature for forum owners who sometimes are required to resolve bad trades or dumb users

gjm 3258 Report post Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) I've not had any problems editing (fortunately!) but a little breathing space after posting when an edit could be made without incurring the orange banner would be nice. I don't know about IP.Board, but some forum software has a configurable option for this. Edit: There is, or can be, something in IP.Board called 'Edit grace period.' Not knowing the commercial model of IP.Board, I don't know if this is a (part of a) module, or part of the base implementation. Regardless, it is a 'nice to have' and certainly not a major functional issue! Edited May 26, 2015 by gjm

B.M.W Ltd 950 Report post Posted May 26, 2015 Why not read what you type before you post it? It's not always what you have written... it's more like wanting to add to your post ie: more info or a picture and / or a reference in my case. Anyway... it's resolved now. I haven't been able to edit my posts as a forum sponsor since the forum move , as a mod using my other log on I've always been able to do this. Miraculously it all works now after starting this thread. Maybe there is a god. I'm also very adapt at reading my posts Julian and always use propa inglesh
