M5V8 337 Report post Posted October 28, 2015 (edited) Who's watched it? What do you think? I've finished season 5 and I'm addicted. Whatever u think about how staged the BS fights are those cars are freakin fast and they know how to drive them. M5V8 337 Report post Posted October 29, 2015 There's some stuff on YouTube but if you get into it I'd advise to download and start from season 1 cause each season they get faster and faster and there's the resulting carnage along the way

qube 3570 Report post Posted October 29, 2015 Kind of unrelated but these two dudes that do "mightycarmods" on youtube is pretty funny imo. Australian guys doing budget mods to dumb cars. Check it out if youre bored
kulgan 1042 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) Yeah, mightycarmods is good. I partiularly liked this one where they take a VW that has no street cred. On no budget they mod it and take it to a Japanse Custom car show and park it up. Funny that so many people where drawn to their VW. https://youtu.be/s7Iv42AOZIk Edited October 30, 2015 by kulgan
Ahmedsinc 414 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 Roadkill is pure gold. The editor in chief of Hot Rod magazine in the States & one of his staff writers putting large amounts of time, and in some cases big $, into utter junk. Highlights are the Rotsun, General Mayhem & Pigpen, the GMC pickup that ultimately couldn't. Lots of Mopar and Chevy goodness. All on Youtube, all of it free! SO has its moments but it started getting hokey pretty quick. The machinery though..............
euroriffic 607 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 Loooove roadkill! Awesome show! Watched abit of street outlaws on YouTube, and gas monkey garage, and graveyard carz which is all mopar restored to as factory as possable. Love the cars but usual bs arguments more than working in the cars, which is the best thing about all the motortrend channel which is roadkill, hotrod garage, dirt everyday, heaps of stuff on YouTube, it's all about the cars and having a laugh! Also, I'd kill for the muscle truck!!
Ahmedsinc 414 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 Also, I'd kill for the muscle truck!! Muscle truck needs the Hemi in Blasphemi more than the Gasser does. Just sayin!
_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 i generally dislike the american ones, the english shows are good which are on tv but then someone puts online some place, and never miss an episode of MCM, good laid back show for a bit of a laugh, and comedy from a little closer to home too.
zero 1162 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 Love roadkill and mighty car mods. Roadkill at the 24 hour lemons is awesome.
Ahmedsinc 414 Report post Posted November 2, 2015 I watched one episode of Street Outlaws, one was enough. Just more "reality TV"- yawn. It seemed to me to be merely another talent quest or amateur cooking show, substituting low-brow streetrace 'talent' for aspiring chefs/singers. They're missing a Simon Gault/Simon Cowell. The whole genre (reality TV) is way-tired. Orwell's line from 1984 is now under threat; the proles are swallowing as much reality TV as they can get. These shows seem to thrive on mock-tension and "up in yer grille conflict". Agreed. Some epic kit on outlaws but it always seemed a bit too reminiscent of the old WWF format to me. Same goes for Gas Monkey, too slick & impersonal for my tastes. One loudmouth sales guy that shouts at his minions to do all the real work for him while clipping the ticket and the glory. Will be interesting to see how Roadkill develops now theres Detroit money involved. Hopefully they don't completely sell out but we'll see

To channel Ricky Bobby, If I had to finance, lead, and manage that risk that and one of my minions suggested I was clipping the ticket and the glory, I'd show them the door and recommend they contact a bank and a realtor, go set up their own! Or give them the contact details of the local Socialist party; "it's not a collective buddy, it's my company". "Praise the infant baby jesus". On the other hand, it is television, and "reality television", at that. Edited November 15, 2015 by Olaf

zero 1162 Report post Posted November 16, 2015 I'm enjoying Fantomworks on discovery turbo. The guy is a grumpy bugger, but he is a perfectionist and every car is absolutely perfect.
Herbmiester 923 Report post Posted November 16, 2015 MCm is pretty good entertainment, they actually make some of their junk go fast. As to RK, I love it, the episode with the leaf blowers is gold. HR garage is also good and powerblock TV is worth a watch especially if you like engine builds.
