Contrails 317 Report post Posted June 16, 2016 For 56k you could almost get an E30 M3 (in ok condition)/E28 M5/E34 M5 special edition/E24 M6. My point being, is the Z3M coupe in the same league as these cars now in regards to rarity and desirability?
KwS 2425 Report post Posted June 16, 2016 Rarity, yes, desirability.... probably not. Can even get an E39 M5 and have some change left over for that much.
Michael. 2313 Report post Posted June 17, 2016 Glorious. That is a pretty relative price compared to others Ive seen. No other BMW compares to these really. An E30 M3 is completely different (4 cylinder for starters) and the 5 series are big saloons. Not a comparable driving experience.
qube 3570 Report post Posted June 17, 2016 I would have thought the price is actually pretty decent for what it is. For someone whos wanting to spend $56k on a car, this is probably not the right choice. But for someone whos wanting to buy a Z3M Coupe, $56k is not bad at all IMO. I personally would rather buy that Z4M Roadster and get mocked for having a hairdressers car than drive a shoe but each to their own... but certainly no point comparing this to an E30 M3 or an E39 M5...
KwS 2425 Report post Posted June 17, 2016 Other than looks though, what do you get over an E36 EVO or E46 M3 for half the price?
E36_Turbo 84 Report post Posted June 17, 2016 Other than looks though, what do you get over an E36 EVO or E46 M3 for half the price? Perhaps not a lot....i'd go for an Evo M3 anyday, great value for money, atm! The Roadster is slightly lighter than an E36 Sedan / Coupe M3 Evo? Can't remember....but if you were to spend wisely...a good deal on a well looked after Evo M3 would be better for the account haha, and for much much less $$$....all down to rarity and preference for M-owners i guess.

Rarity Unique looks Lighter than an E36 and E46 M3 Sit lower and much closer to the rear axle Faster steering rack than the E36 and E46 Investment potential

Well other than driving experience, there's also the fact that the E30 M3, E28 M5 and E34 M5 were hand built in Munich.
Michael. 2313 Report post Posted June 17, 2016 Yeah, its a well known fact the E34 M cars were the last of the old school hand assembled vintage.
hybrid 1043 Report post Posted June 18, 2016 Its a matter of taste. Theyre a hell of a car. Would much rather prefer one of these over an e30 m3 as theyre blimmin gutless and a bit boring to drive.
