KwS 2425 Report post Posted April 19, 2018 Probably a dumb question, but other than the options ticked, what makes a Clubsport special?
qube 3570 Report post Posted April 19, 2018 Not a dumb question at all. Long story short there is not a huge difference between an msport and Clubsport. The most obvious is the cosmetic differences which are Clubsport rear spoiler (mine actually has the msport bootlid as standard), front bumper splitters (also does not have), different shape of side skirts, Clubsport logo on the door kick panels, removed sound deadening on the bonnet for better sound and weight reduction, options for better/different paint colours (usually estoril blue or velvet blue, mine is carbon black which is the e46 m3 colour over standard cosmos black) and also the 3D cube interior trim. Mine also has a tyre pressure monitor, automatic headlights, facelift led taillights and longer bootlid trim on the boot handle as opposed to standard taillights and shorter bootlid handle trim. All in all very minor differences oh and also they came with Clubsport specific wheels which were either the style 135 or another dished type can't remember the code. It's just a msport with fancy pants basically. It's just 5% more special than the run of the mill msport but nothign world changing.

Indeed, your Dad was scoping mine on Friday, asking about clearance/rubbing... ? I'm biased of couse! I think they're a great match on the e46; aesthetically they look good, and technically there's no rubbing/clearance issues, 20mm wider track across the rear axle (over style 68 staggered), and half inch wider rim on the front. Of course, lows may be a different game!
qube 3570 Report post Posted May 7, 2018 Absolutely right. Much better/wider track compared to the very high offset style 68's. Also being 17 it gives plenty of profile on the tyres. Currently running 225 45 17 front and 255 40 17 rear and feels amazing to drive. Really shouldnt sell it...

zero 1162 Report post Posted June 13, 2018 How about starting a thread on your M3 - I would love to see it. And also your ford escort - I built a 1976 rs2000 replica as my first car. That might be a more constructive way of introducing yourself.
qube 3570 Report post Posted June 13, 2018 (edited) S768A Individual series "Clubsport" - clearly mentioned in VIN build sheet The rear wing not being the standard clubsport model is also correct as per VIN: http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E46-Coupe/Europe/325Ci-M54/R-N/may2005/browse/vehicle_trim/rear_spoiler/ If it had the clubsport rear wing then it would have this in the build sheet: "S754A M Rear spoiler" (like it had on my old velvet blue clubsport 330ci) Edited June 13, 2018 by E30 325i Rag-Top
