M3AN 4016 Report post Posted October 11, 2018 These things are apparently impossible to crash unless you're stupid. People should have to pass an advanced driving test to purchase any car with more than 200bhp.
TLH 45 Report post Posted October 11, 2018 Maybe it was put into 2wd, which I believe turns off all traction controls.
Gaz 1056 Report post Posted October 11, 2018 Or someone drove in it. Interesting how people always assume it was the drivers fault

sobanoodle 45 Report post Posted October 11, 2018 Fairly certain this is the one that crashed on Ian Mckinnon Dr. Guessing they were coming down from Piwakawaka and lost control, demolishing a road sign and a traffic light. Drove past the place a few hours later and wondered what'd happened and then saw a post on fb with some photos. Walked my dog there the next morning, crap was all over the place, picked up an M5 guard grille as a trophy 4 1

Changing the drive settings to RWD doesn't change the traction control necessarily, however, pressing the M1 button that is configured to turn it off will do... Then giving it full beans away from the lights in the damp & cold will catch out the unwary, allegedly. Didn't cost much per km as it was covered by insurance, so just the excess. As they broke the expensive end as well as the good end it was declared a write off. Lots of expensive bits in that front quarter need to be replaced and I doubt you will find them in Zebra for a while. Might come back to life though if someone has the $$$ and the skills.
