Depends how bad it is. Vacuum bleeder, followed by two people one bottle (manual bleed) to finish it off.

I left mine to gravity bleed for 30 minutes into a tray. Then finished it off with a 2 person bleed. This was after replacing master, slave, line.

i use gravity 1st , then use a small bottle of fluid that i can squeeze with a rubber hose connected to the bleed nipple and force the air up 

(which is the way it wants to go) , 2 squeezes and lock off the nipple and you are done.

Guess it depends on the model of BMW you are working on.

The E36 slave cylinder has a bleed nipple that will not bleed all the air out of the cylinder with it installed.  You need to take it off the car, turn it around so the nipple is facing up, open the nipple and push the push rod against the bell housing to force the air out.  The official BMW bleed tool compresses the push rod and holds it in while you do a 2 person bleed.

You can just hook a line up from the nearest caliper, open both nipples and pump away on the brakes 

Easy. Do it all the time in the paddock

I do agree with @Young Thrash Driver but if you can't do it with gravity and two people then you're best to take it to a proper* mechanic.

* If you can't tell, I'm quite bitter for missing out on that loot. ?
