Driftit 2078 Report post Posted December 5, 2018 (edited) 2JZ's and RB's are ancient now. They all need significant money spent if you intend to chase big power. Nearly all of them have been modified. Up to 20 years of random mods. A friend just recently picked up an R32 GTR that is quite well known in the community. It is alarming how much money it needs spent on it. And it was a good one. Seen my fair share of broken Supras and GTR's at the GTR track days over the years. The best thing you could do is ship them to the US. Make an absolute killing on them. I saw a f**king GTE (yes E) Skyline 4 door povo edition sell for $10K USD!!!!!!. It was a pile of sh*t. I felt like a prick afterwards but I told the guy that they are a $1000 or less car in NZ. His face said it all. JDM YO!!!!! Got the price wrong. It was $10K not $14K. I thought about it but couldn't be arsed spending the time researching. The other thing to mention is that the N5x has a much friendlier power curve. The ramp rate on a 1000HP 2JZ is ridiculous. That coupe is certainly a nice car.

I think it might relate to when Ford were going to Supercharge the Barra instead of a turbo, but I can't remember why the Gull connection is there, vague memory of sh*t?
Herbmiester 925 Report post Posted December 6, 2018 Ok googled it and they called it Gull because it would Sh*t on everything. Very droll Aussie humor. 1
