Eagle 1679 Report post Posted November 17, 2021 Some what poverty spec vehicle but looks good, probably needs a 2.8L in it though. Is first E39 ive seen in NZ with a single climate control setup, great bonus since rotary temperature knobs are superior. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3346079202?fbclid=IwAR3x27njiLIWn_Q-rEpchrDof-5FXxNI-OIlEv7PVsSsHbgTWAkczIu2a9E&bof=fhjZSUFI
KwS 2429 Report post Posted November 17, 2021 Wow, that thing is mega poverty pack. Would be good for a manual swap on a 530i though...

topnotchrally 112 Report post Posted July 28, 2022 (edited) It's back! But at a premium and without the Type 66 wheels 😕 This was an auction last time and with a few minutes left is was $2500.. so I auto bid $6800. After much late bidding, it sold for $6900, presumably to this guy. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/523i/listing/3684978760 I agree with him about the radio, simple is good, but not the manual climate control, and no cruise control 😞 Edited July 28, 2022 by topnotchrally

Eagle 1679 Report post Posted July 29, 2022 Manual heater controls are the best part. Id take them any day over crappy 90's digital button units (glad they were short lived)
MD13 496 Report post Posted July 30, 2022 Much nicer looking car with the type 66 wheels... Would want to change out the headunit and maybe motorsport steering wheel also.

topnotchrally 112 Report post Posted September 11, 2022 Lol, interesting. It's dropped $2000 in value in a year. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3346079202 Nice story about the 'old man', seem a bit of a tale since it was sold less than a year ago (see above). Doesn't look like any of the interior has changed.
treone 649 Report post Posted September 11, 2022 (edited) Had it been lowered since last sold? What happened to the M-sport wheels? 😣 Bastardised if it has! Edited September 11, 2022 by treone
MD13 496 Report post Posted September 11, 2022 Steering wheel update I think. Added dirt...
KwS 2429 Report post Posted September 11, 2022 Love the comments about "Full Black interior swap from a Msport (steering wheel, shift knob, black pillars, roof liner, grab handles, sun shade etc)" Yeah nah, thats not even a partial swap.
dirtydoogle 383 Report post Posted September 16, 2022 Imagine how unremarkable that would be to drive. All the maintenance of a 530 without the benefits of being a nice car 1
