I have read some mixed reviews - anyone here ordered through Spareto recently?

Bunch of stuff, including set of bilsteins, no complaints

Yeah, have racked up 20-odd orders with them over the years, all bar 1-2 have arrived within a week, most recent order being a month ago.

@Eagle had a mixup with some control arms recently but did get it refunded, apart from that it's been mostly positive from what I gather.

What are the negative reviews you're hearing?

Have had multiple orders, faultless tracking and delivery, fastest in 4.5 days. Just cross check your part numbers.

I did an order last week which should arrive tomorrow. Ive only ever one had one problem with them where they(the person packing more so) sent some flawed\different part to what i ordered. I contacted them straight away, had it sent back and got a full refund without issue, it was a fast process. Claiming a warranty on a parts maybe another story though if going by the reviews.

Besides the above problem ive ordered well over 5 figures worth of parts from them with no worries. Whether that has an influence on their decisions, who knows.

Nice one - sounds like a go then. Had heard some issues around delays in shipping items that were shown as ‘in stock’.
good to have some here with first hand experience. I have used FCP before and worked really well but not so cheap in this instance.

I have experienced couple minor delays on their end for no apparent reason, still had it within 2 weeks compared 1 week average. Yeah FCP have great customer service but are just too expensive and use inferior postage carriers last time i checked.

+1 for Spareto, their shipping prices for heavy items are also often very competitive.

No issues with spareto but I always do a quick tally up of their pricing vs rockauto and schmiedmann who often have best pricing if you need genuine BMW parts.

Over 20 orders here too.  Faster than anything from the US.  And often a better variety of brands.
A little more work involved as you should always search by part number.

Get Part Number from RealOEM.  Then fire that into spareto.

If there is any problems they are great to deal with.

Their shipping is broken down nicely too.  You can see the cost per item based on weight.  If something doesn't look right fire them off an email and they correct it fast.

Ordered some Lemforder arms from them about 2 weeks ago. Was a delay on the shipping, they said they had them in stock but turns out had to get them from their supplier and they had to wait because of holidays in Europe otherwise no issues. Shipped them out on Thursday seems like they will be here in Christchurch tomorrow. Ordered an AC condenser from them before, 0 issues.

I used to buy exclusively FCP apart from one trial of Pelican over 14 years.  I now mostly use Spareto.  Service is excellent, occasionall have to wait for a part not in stock after all.  Once it's packaged, it's DHL to Welly which is ultra-fast and extremely reliable, usually here in four days.
FCP use UPS which is farcical to Welly, and two weeks for pricey freight from USA.

Anyone experienced extra tarrifs from USA of late?

For those who have used Spareto - do their shipping quotes generally match what ends up shown on the package? Just wondering if I should allow a buffer to ensure the total incl. shipping comes under the $1,000 threshold.

I've never thought to check that but either way, apparently it's the value of the items alone, excluding shipping, that needs to be below $1k to avoid paying duties. I've also always thought it's the total sum but doesn't seem to be the case, as we found out in a thread in here a few months ago.

I've found them to be pretty accurate, it's based on weight and dimension (if it's large) and they publish the weight, and size excess on the invoice. Since they'll be using self-made shipping labels, and work directly with DHL, they should all be fine.

Thanks both, that gives me some comfort. Shipping not being included in the $1,000 makes a big difference.
