Flashed the SMG Module in the `HELLM3` with CSL Software and took it for a drive on the backroads of Dairy Flat. Freakin awesome in the wet.Feels smoother with quicker changes.

Yep, Terrible Picture, but as you can see I have 2x E39's in the Garage and taking pics at night time doesn't work so well with a Samsung Phone. The one on the left I purchased today, the one on the Right is a normal 525i that I now have on trademe for sale. I was impressed by how much better the 530i is to drive overall, infact in everyway.. However when I got out to Rangiora and drove into the Garage I thought i saw smoke coming out the front of the bonnet and could smell a strong oil smell. Sure enough, leaking valve cover gasket, got the Halogen work light out to confirm. Ordered new parts online. The car came with an NZ sat nav unit, Bluetooth, USB etc, so that's sorted. I am going to replace the front speakers with the ones I have in my other E39, (Much better then stock). Things to change on the car: Remove M5 Badge (Thankfully a normal M badge has been included in the glove box) Replace find wood trim with silver trim, (It was annoying getting the wood trim, most Motorsports had silver). Things to fix on the car: Repair front bumper, will need paint and plastic welding, doesn't look that bad though. Replace Valve Cover gasket set.

I'm not sure where in London you were living to not see gritted roads in 10 years, must have been either lucky or in the area of a council that had run out of money and couldn't afford to grit the roads. All of England gets cold enough for snow and ice and all areas get gritted - including the south. It's not just the gritting of the roads that are the issue, it's also the marine environment and salty sea air. Just look inside a heat pump from a Bach to see what I mean! But you are right, not every car in England is a rust bucket and the issues are greatly exaggerated.

For the person who wants a 540i but needs to spend more on fuel.

Thats Zac, has a collection of things,a ferrari up at west lynn panel and paint having a resto, e24 m6 race car, and even a 6.3 300sel merc, and of course the defender... and only one car has airbags, and their not for safety..oh and the TVR is the only car that fits in his garage, the rest live in coatsville. Selling the house in summer so he can keep more cars at home...wise man

If the E39 and the E61 have the same wiring harness from the connector in the roof (between the upper rear speakers) to the connectors in the rear boot lid, you can have mine for free. My wires haven't split or bent and are still in tak in the off cut roof for my E39 Touring. So just a matter of getting them un plugged and sending them to you

From what I've been told the following are some of the main modifications: m42b18 Mosselman log manifold JE Forged pistons + lowered CR Garrett t3 turbo Motec m4 ECU with full electronic engine maps + boost control (Had ICV delete) Quaife LSD Turbo cams Getrag 260 Gearbox Koni gas adjustables with eibach springs Custom intercooler setup with superstealthy low profile intercooler Haven't seen any dyno sheets but supposedly puts out about 300hp at 16psi.
