I just reseted my E46 and E90 adaptions, WOW! what a difference! now they both drives like BMW should ! smooth engine all the way to redline. My E46 usually kinda jerkey at low rev, and the VANOS seals were bad. After replacing VANOS seals, idle was fine but still jerking a little bit, I thought it was my dual mass flywheel on it's last leg but WOW, it is engine adaption. I was using #98 all the time, maybe the adaption was from the previouse owner driving style + bad vanos seals, I don't know, but it made a HUGE difference! I rested via INPA. If you are near Birkenhead and don't have tool, I can do it for you (free of charge), just drop me a line. Can do E36, E46 E90, others I will need to check as never done before. Edit: forgot to mention I also have ICOM tool (dealer grade) , if you want your car be scanned for codes, I can do it for you (free of charge), only works if it is OBDII connector ( no E30 etc.)

The car is already modified, the new owner may want to re-power again with an S motor...maybe install coil over suspension. Be a bit of a pain having to re-cert it again right?

with all the millions BMW spend on R/D, do you think they ever pictured people using : grease, toilet paper, bread to remove a pilot bearing. I'll give the bread a go.

Progress is slow at the moment as we are getting to the difficult parts of the build at the moment. All the driveline parts have been mocked up, drive shaft is out being shortened and balanced at the moment. Have refreshed all bushes in the shifter with delrin and added a custom built DSSR. the shifter feel now is fantastic now to add a weighted gear knob to finish the whole setup off. Have been spending the last few weeks trying to get the new exhaust manifolds built to work around the the steering shaft and be able to have them fitted to the engine before install. Will get photos up when the extractors are completed. Fingers crossed in the next two weeks the exhaust will be completed then i can haul the engine out for the final time to refresh everything and paint the engine bay. Picked up some E38 wheels from francois and fitted with some more appropriate sized tyres fitted them up and pushed the car out of the shed to see how the final fitment will be, quite happy with how its sitting now.

Hmmm, not a bad investment... But I don't think anyone would want to be seen being driven round in it

jib05 and I used bread when were were doing his m50 swap. Was legit! Packed the inside right out and didn't leave any mess at all.

the vast majority couldn't build it for 5k. a 328i manual donor alone is worth more than that

This car would be hella fun to drive, the power vs weight, ouch! Kinda like the ultimate sleeper for surprising those honda boys LOL jokes.
