Fitted new window regulator sliders in the driver's door of the E36, and adjusted the regulator so the window closes properly. It's amazing the difference the new bits of plastic make! Removed the front seats to hoover the carpets in the E36. Found $1.50. Result. It's nice getting into a car with clean-looking carpets.

Not perfect (close-up of damaged area included), and I suspect for a manual car. No leaks, no rattles, no loose bits inside.

Its a big engine plus hair dryer, Vanos is a pain in the butt and as has been outlined its a race car not 10km/hr car sitting in Aucklands peak hour traffic. Less to go wrong, as for lose of torque? Pretty dam sure the turbo will make up for that, keep up the good work Garett.

I'll have a look, check it is correct for an auto, and take some pics in the morning. (It came out of an auto but with a 30-year-old car that's no guarantee of anything!)

Sorry for the dumb question, but what is the benefit of a vanos delete?

The other day I spend shiming the motor and think I only have to order about 10 or 11 shims as can reuse the rest to get it all within spec, the tool I borrowed from BMW made it really easy.. so 2weeks and will be ready for the old engine to com out and the new one to get fitted with all the bolt ons Will be running an oil cooler this time, a hydraulic handbrake and an accusump set up the body is almost ready, got it back from the panel shop not that long ago, with some new bumpers and removal of the tinted window it will be off to the paint shop, I wana bring it back to the original look it had when I first finished it instead of listening to other people saying you need to do this and that, make it louder... put a wing on it, make it a v8... you all can get fuct haha this is my project go get your own. Rant over. ?

Yeah, they're a bit sensitive to low voltage. Hopefully that new battery has you sorted and you can enjoy the drive home. I luv doing trips in my E38.

I know there is some cross-over, but all the otherwise useless ones make me feel a bit 3pedals: it ought to bugger off and die, and stay in the past where it belongs Imperial units are worth 5/8ths of not much

Fix'd. Stupid. No idea why they designated the different chassis code Almost as stupid as splitting the 4 door and 2 door cars into 2 different models and then making a bloody 4 door version of the 2 door model anyway.

Didnt quite get to finish what I wanted before te big day, but a good success all in all. Drives pretty sweet on the bagged suspension. needs some fine tuning, but after honeymoon I will bring him out for a meet and great.
