Absolutely. I have to say that the active steering in the 535i definitely helped the car feel smaller when parking. Certainly the suspension feels more tied down and is not as plush as the 535i. Not harsh. Just not as plush. As for steering. The M5 still has a hydraulic rack and is noticeably better in feedback. But I think the best feature is the HUD. And the instant rush. Will need 2 rear 20” tires soon at the rate this carries on. ?

Yeah. For those familiar with Cambridge, I saw a highway patrol at the start of the 50kmh zone on Cambridge Rd one foggy morning (coming into Cambridge from Te Awamutu, common/easy spot for them to sit and catch people going over 50kmh). I pulled over and asked him why he wasn't worried about people driving at open road speeds with no headlights on in heavy fog, and pointed out a couple of cars going past with no lights on. He spun some bullshit about people speeding in urban areas. And people wonder why the standard of driving is f**ked in this country.

Hi, My 2003 330ci coupe is automatic. I am looking to convert it to manual. I do not want to buy bits and pieces but rather looking for a complete kit, I.e. everything.

I have watched this a few times now but not sure what I think yet. The video was on a 188mm diff and I have a 210mm in my 2007 335i so possibly more surface area for the friction disks. Any way have a watch and lets discuss. BTW he does a review in a later video and its pretty positive.

Hi all, Wondering who has a solution to scan the older BMW's, I've done some research online but can't seem to find much info about it, maybe im not typing in the correct key words. But after a ADS/DIS for the E34 that preferably works on newer laptops as mine doesn't have a com port. Or is there anyone between Auckland and Wellington that is able to diagnose an E34 aside from the dealership? Not just a "Code reader". Also side note, has anyone repaired the memory electric seat module in these before? Thanks!

He's at pains in a couple of them (1 & 3?) to explain that it doesn't work like a Phantom Grip, I won't try to translate because I have no idea. I was beside myself watching him wrestle that diff in and out without taking the 10 mins beforehand to drop the exhaust. ?

235 is not ideal for 7.5 but is possible going by the chart in the link. The recommended for 235 is either an 8 or an 8.5 according to the chart. https://www.tyresizecalculator.com/charts/tire-width-for-a-wheel-rim-size-chart

17x7.5 is strictly too narrow for a 235/40-17. 8.0-9.5 are recommended widths for that size.

I’m from Northern Ireland, been in NZ almost 6 years, and I had 2 Alpina’s over there. A B3S Touring and a C2 2.7, I sold the B3S a few years back but still have the C2 2.7

Bonnets are the same... the grilles are different and interchangable I thought you were an E39 "anorak" (or "rivet-counter")

Here's some cracks in the welds where the floor was repaired last time .... And where Ray's up to with plates: Fronts done and reinforced - now to work on the rest. I have videos of the damage & the factory clearance to the rear subframe bolts - it's really bad haha. After this, Ray's building a boot section for the cage to tie the rear strut towers together & ensure this sh*t doesn't happen again.
