Modern corollas are pretty reasonable to drive, I get lots of rentals due to work, the newest gen with the 9 speed CVT are actually very impressive. Stick a BMW badge on the boot of a Mazda3, maybe an //M badge if you want some more street cred, and feed it 91 all day Im sticking to If you want a BMW, buy a real BMW, or whats the point other than having a badge on the boot. Im sure 116's are perfectly reasonable small cars, but unless you absolutely must have that BMW badge, the math makes no sense.

Anyone on here a machinist, I recently purchased a lathe and a mill/drill ( second hand ) to further educate myself on the fine art of machining . They came with a whole heap of stuff, most parts/pieces I understand and how it goes together. However there's some bits that I'm uncertain of and how they interact . Auckland based

e28's seem to be the flavour for this month. A 525ae has been my tow vehicle for the last 8-10 years, the most reliable car I,ve owned, torquey, very frugal on petrol and a great cruising car.

Howdy, After owning many makes and models over the years I’ve found myself in my second BMW - a 535i and am really enjoying it... Found it on FB marketplace and always had a soft spot for this chassis so I snapped it up and bonus that it’s a 535. Right now I’m needing to replace the front shocks-any recommendations for suppliers here? Im also toying with the idea of doing a manual conversion. Any leads on parts appreciated..cheers!

Hey Team Been awhile so during the lock down have had abit more time and done a little more to the v8 e46 wagon. after alot of thinking and ive gone away from the airbox idea as there was just no room to plumb and intake to the left. So this is where i got the idea for a OTR intake usually found off holden LS's Also scored a nissan silvia radiator with a twin fan setup, which should fit quite nicely once i can get bits welded after lockdown is over.

Lol if the price difference between 91 and 95 is even a question you're going to hate servicing and fixing a BMW, unless of course you're prepared to get your hands dirty.

Wouldn't recommend running on 91, might as well buy the corolla if you're worried about the 91-95 price differential...

I agree and that why I dont like diesels in general, plenty that shouldn't even pass a WOF even without testing. All these guys removing DPF from their utes etc maybe in for a shock at some stage when they gotta pay to put them back in to pass a wof. Maybe it will slow down sales to all these idiots that think they need a ute.

Hey Team So finally got the car back last Saturday from auto sparky, I knew this was the issue the day after i dropped it off. I completely forgot to add the postive wire from brake switch to the ews box. I told him to do this and it fired up. But while it was there he wired up the electric water pump and a few other little things. Over the last two weeks ive pretty much got it 98% of being completed. got the front m3 brakes all on now. Spent the most of yesterday making this Air box with Juvy. ( Him making it, me watching) So will need to take the whole car to an engineers to help fab up the intake and route it to the air box. Had to put these wheels on as the 19's tyres were rubbing on the rears. And lastly fitted to this new solid mount shifter i brought from bmspeedshop local company in NZ. So car is driveable and man shes quick, 1st and 2nd are o.k but 3rd is where it hits. also finally managed to get a stationary sound clip. The ticking sound is the dry sump pump which goes away after a few mins and the noise was 10 x lounder than the video. Enjoy team
