And next was the application of hard high build primer. After this phase it will sit for a week or so to harden up then it will be block sanded to get all panels perfectly straight.
Then it will be into the booth again for primer then colour (stock Polaris-Metallic) then clear coats. The motorsport shadow line window trim is also being done.
There was a guy here a long time ago that made an e30-e46 hybrid... Can't recall his name - Maybe Tony?
Car was seriously cool - e46 running gear, suspension, wider track, dash etc in an e30 coupe.
Signing off this thread, hopefully an owner carriers it on down the line. Sold the car back in July 2022. New owner drove it to Auckland and sent me some photos at the start of the year.
Car is almost done, for now, just need to mount some harness eye bolts, put in a baffled sump, and maybe some swayers and it'll be ready for some track duties. Some proper photos of it with the new, painted bumper.
Oil coolers all done and can't spot any leaks as of yet, but has only barely gotten to temp once so far. Replace the fender and front bumper got painted and installed. Very happy with how it all worked out.
just need to stick the number plate back on and give it a good clean now
