I've had a weak battery bring up Trans Failsafe on a 5HP19 in the past. so fingers crossed... I'm getting a lockup clutch slipping code on the 740 5HP24 but no real symptoms I can detect as yet. I will get my spare torque convertor rebuilt I think... it's sitting with the spare trans under the bench... what every '24 owner should have... 😁

Finally fixed my odometer gears and gave the cluster a mini tart up while I was at it with a polished cover and an Mtechnic tachometer gauge face. Kept it subtle and resisted the urge to paint the needles red 😂 Tried matte black cluster rings (2nd pic) but decided against them. Also had some new SI board batteries and capacitors but it all looked good and my soldering isn’t great so decided to not mess with it unnecessarily. Also troubleshooting a pesky ABS light, right before WOF time… does not appear to be sensors and the relays ‘look’ as good as new 🤔

It is a facelift M Sport E70 with the N55 3.0L Turbo engine and ZF8 speed gearbox - a very nice combination if you prefer petrol over diesel. Relatively low mileage at 133,xxx kms. Very tidy inside and out for its age. Definitely one of the better conditioned ones for this model. Has reversing camera and parking sensors installed. Keyless start and door lock/unlock which is rare for this model, 2 keys. Fresh 1 year wof and 1 year rego all paid for. Has 2 new front tyres, engine oil and filter replaced, air, cabin and AC filters all replaced. Listed on TM for $16900 but will take $16000 Let me know if you have any questions

As far as modern day barn finds go. Popped on Facebook marketplace, the old boy had a number of cars but unfortunately has dementia and can't remember why it was parked up or anything.

Had so much fun at the hillclimb I decided to take it to another event, Hooncorp event at the mere mere drift track. Was great fun and ended up 4th/37 on the day, only one second behind a purpose built turbo 1UZ swapped e36 coupe on 265s. Car performed flawlessly once again, albeit oil temps getting up there, not an issue on a short 2 lap sprint, but definitely something to think about for longer events. Stoked to be putting the car to use, halfcage, harness and bucket seats aren't just for decoration.

Been a while since I posted in here, been very busy with my (hopefully) last semester of uni. Took the 135 to tis first msnz event, doctors hill road hillclimb. Really enjoyed it and the car did really well! Managed 13th/34 on the day, not bad considering it was my first event and there was quite a few pretty serious racecars. IMG_7673.MOV

Have you got a towbar on that? I’ve got one in the garage if you’re interested. Great photos and I do love a wagon.
