HELLBM is another wrecker one who have those sort of parts Rockauto also add GST unlike the others. They usually only good for a single or a few smaller parts on OE branded stuff, their shipping prices are all over the place are rarely end up cheaper than the others.

oh yes, @Vass mentioned Rockauto, they can be pretty good... if they have part from the manufacturer you want (they helpfully grade their offerings by quality level), and of you're buying multiple parts *and* you find they're supplied from the same location. Freight charges from multiple locations can add up with Rockauto, be cautious. I used to use a freight aggregator in FL (MyUS.com), gave them up a year or two ago as I was buying less from the USA and their service levels declined around Covid and never came back. I'll try Shipito next time I need an agregator.

    1. FCP Euro, Schmeidmann, Spareto. 2. For used classic, try Begley Motor Works. Newer stuff, BM World in Papakura or Weitz Industries in Hamilton. Possibly SD European. 3. Your best friend for sourcing part numbers is about to become RealOEM.com HTH

Looks good Olaf , On your speaker cabling e46 wiring has a good gauge of cable on mid bass. 1.5mm2 cable from memory so good enough to carry a 200 -300 rms into 4 ohms. Otherwise the door connector audio section clips out on side and you can carefully the cut part of the connector other side . The rest of the connector is keyed so airbag / mirror / power window part of the wiring doesn’t move. Then it’s each to route aftermarket cable through. It can be done in a way where you can return it back to factory later if needed. Sing out if you need any pics.

Think you would be able to pick up a all the bits you would need to convert back to mtech 1 from Weitz Industries in Hamilton, looks like he is selling off everything e30 including mtech 1 kit. Nice, almost bought a set of genuine Alpinas for mine but had just done a full refurb of the original basket weaves i thought I had better not spend the money. Fair enough, just about everything needs replacing being a 36 year old car. Would recommend replacing all fuel related components as one of the first things you do if you haven't already . Pretty quick and easy to replace pump, filter and rubber lines and doing the fuel regulator made mine run 100x better. Ive found the cheapest and quickest place to buy OE parts is www.schmiedmann.com. Far cheaper than buying out of the states and shipping is only a week or so.

Time for an update on the CAD projects. CAD Project 1: SMG Expansion Tank bracket I now have a reproduction of the OE bracket that the tank slots into. This is a simplified bracket that doesn't have mounting holes, or the stand off that the original does. That's because I will be mating this to the other part of the bracket that I'm working on. Anyway I'm happy to have this part done. I won't be able to mate the two parts of the bracket together and finalise the part until I actually have the intake in hand so I can ensure everything fits perfectly. So this project will go on ice until then. CAD Project 2: Adapter for Bosch *101 MAP sensor And excitingly the adapter for the Bosch 101 MAP sensor is now done! I have a final print in CF-PETG which I will now clean up and bond to the sensor. Key differences from the last prototype I showed are: - Return to 1.5mm stand-off. in the CF-PETG 1.5mm is more than strong enough and this allows a bit more of the nose of the sensor to fit into the rail. - Ever so slightly widened body for better fitment. - Slight changes to some of the fillets to match the sensor. And here's some photos of it bolted to the rail (note that it is not bonded to the sensor in these photos). The bolt hardware is temporary just for demonstrating fitment. I'll be using Loctite 401 to bond the bracket to the sensor. The sensor itself is PBT which can be a bit tricky to bond, however my research suggests that Loctite 401 should be suitable to bond PBT and PETG together (and be heat resistant enough for the application). I'll post the end result when I have it all sorted.
