Went to Manfeild on Saturday for a track day. Took the black manual 130i for a hoon. Went well. Unknown brake pads cooked pretty quickly and you can definitely feel the weight of the car. Good fun being chased down by the Mrs in her 200sx. They really should use these for a future race series chassis.

I remember buying mine for $3,200. LCI with style 216 wheels and in Le Mans blue. 2 keys and pretty tidy but far from perfect. Had 250,000km which I'm sure would have scared most people off. Was a great car though. I think I ended up selling for $4K and then the new owner crashed it. That was an insane amount of car for the money.

Anyone else watching 130s not selling on trademe recently? Prices are low as sh*t, no ones buying them, even reasonable manual ones. We are easily the cheapest place in the world to buy a 130i at the moment

They go well with this combo. James' old E30 with the S52 in it was quite a quick race car. Josh's M325i with the S52 looks and goes amazing too.

Typical from them. You'd think they would have systems to update it on the order status for everyone's sake. Yeah they arent perfect but pretty close. The amount of $ ive spent with them, they surpass everyone ive used by a large margin for overall performance. DHL helps alot too.

Yet to crawl under the car since being back but did address the most in-you-face visual defect still present - the beat up cluster face. Someone must have whacked it in a fit of rage since the plastic cover was cracked all the way along the bottom and had one crack running almost the full height of it. Stumbled upon a used cluster being sold on Marketplace so grabbed it and swapped over the front panel onto the existing one. The mileage was looking quite dim and not fully illuminating - one of the small bulbs behind the LCD turned out to be blown, which I also swapped over. All lighting up evenly now, no dead pixels (knock on wood) and looking nice and crisp. Wifey's that wee bit happier.

I managed the pressures around 34psi hot. No understeer and little oversteer. Laufenn is a sub of Hankook. Made in Korea. They wore evenly and didn't roll over on the shoulders like most road tyres. Nocams.co.nz has them for a good price of under $300 a corner for most sizes. I was running 235/35/18 and 255/35/18.

Ah yeah. This has happened to me in the past. Another reason I push spareto.com. It's just parts at the lowest cost. No discounts. No fake sales (hyperdrive). Clear shipping based on item weight. I've actually started using nocams.co.nz (old rotary website) for tyres for a similar reason. Their standard pricing is hyperdrives BS sale pricing. If there is a drop in price their website reflects it.

Purchased a set of genuine Alpina 16" wheels (rims + tyres) from @darren_mk for my E30. They're on the way to me now. Great communication and a pleasure to deal with 🙏.

Once they did start to respond to support emails it became clear the issue was not the shipping estimate. To bump up the order to a discount level I grabbed a tube of sunroof grease (listed as in stock), turns out the sunroof grease was not in stock and the expected delivery from the supplier was causing the delay. Order is now on its was minus the $10 tube of grease. No doubt the package will sit in the clearing depot in Auckland for a week before it starts to move.

Hey guys, Recently moved back Timaru from Aussie and have a passion for cars in general. Been playing with bimmers over the last 5 year after working on JDM for along time, Have had a few bimmers now Had an old 4.4 x5 that was a tow rig for my Turbo ls e46 330ci. (back in Aussie) Currently have a daily 2010 135i DCT FBO Also have a E46 330i that i have apart as im rebuilding for turbo conversion. ( might get a coupe to put motor and box into) I have an extensive background in fabricating and engineering. Do all my own fab work have capabilities to build cages to NZ Spec.
