All the hooning around was a good excuse to bust out the camera and take some glamour shots though.

Changed out the nylon motor gear in an E70 X5 transfer case actuator. What a c**t of a job on the ground, with basic home garage tools. 1. Move heat shields out the way to gain access 2. Drop cross brace as there's still not enough access to the E10 bolts 3. Remove worm gearing from actuator to remove E10 bolts 4. Curse a lot while getting to that last E10 bolt 5. Cuppa tea to cool off, and begin to disassemble actuator casing 6. Soak in WD40 to help split press casing 7. Curse more as pocket knife which would've been perfect to split casing is in E91 with your partner across town 8. Finally get it all apart, replace nylon gear and reassemble 9. Curse some more getting all the fiddly bolts back in their fiddly holes Highly recommend only going ahead with this if you have access to a hoist. Otherwise budget around 4 hours for as many cups of tea as it takes to not throw it across the room.

These have been flying out the door for locals in NZ and as far away as Poland, Indonesia and Portugal. Go figure. Anywho, I have bulk stock of E46 versions ready to go for those who have decided to LS, 2JZ or turbo their E46's All come with installation instructions, exchange form and a quality product that looks OEM and uses only OEM parts. Note - E36 joints are getting harder to find and E30 joints are near on impossible without #bmwtax so will only be offering those on exchange basis.

237,800km New fuel cap that was in the parts stash installed. Think it's an amazon job but seems to fit fine. Copied @Vass and got one of these air scoops. Was logging a trip I had done previously to compare intake temps but got side tracked by one of the 02 sensors reading higher than the other? Is this normal? Also got a final stage resistor as my fan pulses sometimes when its cranked up, but man it's a pain to install. I aborted the first try as i couldnt locate the top screw and ran out of time. Will try again tonight.

I think a lot of the stock this dealer sells is on consignment - so the price is lead by the vendor + dealer margin etc etc

Maybe the E12's that continued after 1981, in SA, with the E28 interior are rare? That E28 was on trademe for a while. Then Sunday drive picked it up and cranked the price without any improvements (maybe they gave it a wash). Classic dealer.
