Been a while since I updated here - car has been great, getting used less these days, becoming a little bit more of a garage queen but still getting enough work. Was out today with a group of interesting cars - (Elise 111r / E30 M3 S54 / E92 M3 / B7 RS4 / E30 M42 Supercharged / 306 XSi) for a really good blast for 3-4 hours - car was a champ, the M20 still just loves to rev but she does get a little wallowey when pushing on - H&R sports are too cushy but perfect 95% of the time. The Elise had 330whp - sufficient for 850 odd kg.

Have aquired an e30. Not a coupe but a tidy prefacelift sedan. Also have an m52b28, front sump, and a getrag 220 box. Any tips tricks/advice for the m52s are appreciated.

At an event someone parked their Model 3 next to my M3. Lets just say all the kids taking photos of the cars were not taking any of the Tesla.

Just picked up a pair of Valeo front wipers for $10. These are OE on the F3x. Looks like they fit E9x and G2x as well. $132 for a pair in a BMW box from your friendly local dealer. https://www.repco.co.nz/parts-service/wiper-components/wiper-blades/valeo-silencio-flat-wiper-blade-set-600mm-24in-475mm-19in-574471/p/A1333842

Welcome @balinm - sometimes I feel like Bimmersport is the last bastion of the station wagon / 'touring' in NZ. M57 is a great engine and as you say even giving it the beans the fuel economy is still impressive. That front bumper looks aftermarket - ? M3 replica. Would be nice to take it back to an OEM M-sport look, though I doubt M-sports came with that colour (Tasman Green?) as standard so would need to get the m-bumper painted. LCI halogen headlights and flush fit (vs the raised ones you have) roof rails would be nice cosmetic improvements as well.

Great to have another touring afficionado on board. Love it! Did see this car for sale a wee while back, did look like a mighty fine package. Congrats on picking it up, the turbo diesels in those are absolute beasts. Love the wheels & body kit too.

Bit of late night last night with @euroriffic. Tidied up the wiring alot, none really visable which i wanted to achieve. Will work on headers and driveshaft hoops next to then waterblast/scrub the engine bay to then install the radiator. Injector/fuel rail cover will get slightly adjusted to sit better.

Its begun E30 in shed last night, rear lights bumper trim etc off for rust inspections. Not as bad as thought. Motor wiring disconnected, will drain fluids and disconnect exhaust and driveshaft tomorrow night. Motor out by weekend. Purchased these a couple weeks back, also have the rear seat to unstitch for cloth repairs Rolling chassis by next week, better start doing the detent refresh on the ZF and get the rust repaired.
