Hi everyone I have recently upgraded to a new car so the time has come to sell my E36. I have absolutely adored this car for my five years of ownership and will be sad to see it go. See details below. This E36 has been loved, as evidenced by the extensive service history that comes with the car. The last four owners have been involved with the BMW Car Club of NZ. It has also featured in the BMW Car Club of NZ magazine. This E36 was imported to NZ in 2004 by Shelly BMW as part of its "BMW Approved Used Import" programme. I have all the documentation for this, including the original BMW 100-point checklist and "Certificate of Authenticity". It has genuine BMW M-Contour wheels from an E36 M3. It comes with all original keys (with working remote locking) and rear parking sensors. In my ownership, the major items I have attended to are: All four tyres replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport 5, with plenty of tread remaining. New windscreen, windscreen rubbers and windscreen cowl. New brakes (rotors, pads and rebuilt calipers). New radiator. New battery. Regularly refreshed fluids and filters. The oil has been changed at least every 12 months. New spark plugs. Retrofitted Bluetooth to the original BMW head unit. There is plenty of other service history, which is fully documented and will come with the car. The car lives in a garage and is only run on BP 98. The car passed its latest warrant of fitness in April with a clean sheet. The personalised plate comes with the car. My email is [email protected] and mobile is 0273445557. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to arrange a viewing. Price is $12,000.

Hi All, I'm just back into BMWs, this time with the might M6 V10. Keen to get to know people who may also have an S85. Keen to know the best workshops in Wellington. Also keen on tuning the transmission and possibly ECU. Was wondering of there are any local people who do coding for the basics like window control from key and the like. Cheers, bloody good fun and hope all is well

Like today drove it to get groceries and back. About 15mins each way. Opened the boot about 10mins after arriving home and the fuel pump turned on for a split second. It’s as if it’s making sure there’s enough fuel pressure in anticipation of the next drive… The pump also briefly primes about 10mins after opening then closing a door. Has an error for the intelligent battery sensor so could be related. Rescued another one to restore and move on, think there was a post about it on here. Terracotta leather will look loads better in a black car, plus the oil temp gauge is helpful for track days.

Welcome back Cameron @#E91FUN looks like a tidy e63, well done. Best workshop is Jon Begley (Auto 38) now in Marton. In Wellington talk to Peter at All European Service. Get it into absolute peak order in all areas before you start with the modifications. All of the trouble spots the S85 is known for need to be resolved to ensure you get a great driving and ownership experience. To be fair the downsides of modifying an already expensive and potentially troublesome drivetrain - that will not suffer neglect - , are a low sell price when you're ready to quit it - folks just don't want to take the risk. PS - it's your car, so you do you!

Welcome to Bimmersport, and the roller coaster ride that is S85 ownership... ! nice M6 - a heck of a lot of car for the money. Promo Tuning are Wellington based, and can do tuning - https://www.promotuning.co.nz Pramod, the owner, cloned my S85 DME recently, and I can highly recommend his services. I believe he has owned an e60 M5 or two in the past.

For a 5k BMW it is good buying. Classic example of service history vanishing when the new owner makes no effort to record\retain it.

I told my son he had nothing to be scared of at Kawau a year or so ago so he uneasily kept eating his lunch with those birds around… then a big one grabbed the food from his mouth and left the boy with a bleeding lip!
