How many conversations do you intend on having? Line some cars up to test drive over a day or two, come down here, and drive back home with one of them. Cars this old come with condition ranging the full spectrum from totally sh*t and dying in every way, to near perfect. Not model specific, not anything specific just the varying lives of a bunch of cars 20 years old. Aside from the common problem of a JATCO auto, you're on a wild goose chase with the 101 questions.

The only good thing about the e36 is taking their engine and putting it into an e30.

Really? are you going to ask about every bmw engine built? as every single person has already said, the engines will go for a very long time provided they are looked after. You can't expect any car to work for you day in and day out with just a oil service every 10 thousand k whether it be in a E30 or an E36. I saw a guy with an E28 M5 who owned it from new with over 400 miles on the clock and that's possible because he has obviously maintained it. Just find something you like get it checked, test drive it and buy it if you want. Ill tell you now though I bet you the engine will be the least of your worries

Quite old this but I only just came across it. Concept car from the 90's with everything but the kitchen sink. Love the idea or hate it , somebody put a lot of thought in creating this.

Because its the "bmw preformane steering wheels" ? He probably had a bit too much of the KW GT wine before flushing his ECU out and then writing that description out...

Nothing against the E36 but i wouldn't call it a solid design, if it were they wouldn't of used such sh*t house door trims among other things.

Oh, that'd be right. Figured I had when I put them side-by-side. No matter, I transferred the handle (which is the only part I was after). Tristan: no CSL diffuser, yet. I'm still thinking about that one - pretty happy with the aesthetics as it is now tbh. Oh, here's some more recent pics. Lip removed for wrapping & tyres painted for theme: Lip wrapped and fitted up. Great job by Seth: Replaced last bit of chrome left:

I agree with what you're saying in that Paul, & yes, theres validity in 'it's beyond our resources' too - hopefully NZ will get a chance to financially recover a bit before we have any more major negative events occur....... I'm a big believer in that ya can't 'cover yourself for everything', but in amongst it, we are also probably a bit guilty at times of becoming a bit complacent about things - as today has shown us it could be any of us at any time getting tangled up in something like happened in Christchurch....... Edit. A mate in Palmy had a pushbike bounce off his car in the shed, from where it was hanging up in the rafters, plus a bit of other stuff. In general, its probably been a great thing it's been anniversary day for Wellington / Manawatu today, so haven't had people trying to decamp outa office blocks etc.....
