If the water pump is overdue best be checking the rest of the cooling system.

A somewhat unusual E60 M5 for sale in auckland at Buy Right Cars with asking price $37,980. I thought the "Unusual Edition" was a good badge, it's Indianapolis Red with White Leder interior, and only 40k kms on the clock. Please refrain from commenting that the low mileage is due to the previous owner was to scared to be seen in public in it; the buyer may ultimately join our ranks! http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1320656610.htm Nice to see an alternate hue. At first I thought the images had bad white balance... Then I did a google search on Indianapolis Red and found it is kinda rusty looking red; "a bit ginga" if you like. It's striking, I kinda like it. And here's that Nissan Maxima wood again... ....and, the obligatory rearshot: Sassy!

Talking with someone at BMW last week; there is a suggestion that NZ may be seeing sense. All the Minis that come in at the moment are specced to the hilt. Fancy alloys, aircon, HID lights, leather, ICE, fancy paint... You name it. And the price reflects this. It seems someone at BMWNZ may have finally had a common sense infusion, and there might be a chance that some base-spec cars could come in. Steel wheels, halogen lights, cloth seats, no sunroof, flat paint... For (perhaps) $25k? The current cheapest Mini, a 'Cooper' (John will be turning in his grave!) lists at over $35k. For $25k, it becomes a possibility for so many more people. Introduce a race series for as-near-as-possible to stock cars, and you've got a winner on your hands. As Ford said, what wins on Sunday, sells on Monday. Even if it is a single make series. Huge opportunity. HUGE. I'll be waiting for my royalties.

Hey Guys, Finally the old girl got out of the shed and had a fresh walk round the driveway and house. Got a few problems with the accelerator cable and in search of a new air filter for the Holley carburetor apart from that she is running well and got the finishing touches before she is off for a WoF and Rego Pretty close to the end of this build and looking forward to driving the BM around once the accelerator cable is fixed. Need some rear lowering springs too. Doesn't look quite right with the massive rake. A few photos below that turned out nicely.

That exterior colour is awesome. Much better than boring silver or black ones.

The white one sounds like the better one but if it was upto me, I would skip both. I would rather save up for a NZ new one with full service history. Best to get a PPI done from Botany Motor Worx or BM Workshop.

At $4k, that is an amazing deal. Well done! Exhaust, expect to pay ~$400 for an OEM one fitted, second hand, of course. Water pump, if you do the work yourself, shopping from fcpeuro, ~$100. Tint is easy, look up on youtube. Curbing on wheels, easy, but time consuming. I have had success with this If that's all that is wrong with the car, that was an amazing buy.

If you paid close to $4500 for it and end up spending even up to $2k more on it, it was still a good buy. $2k, if you're doing the work yourself, gets you very far with these too.

I think you'll find Bimmersport has an excellent mix of members, encompassing the gamut from 'young' to the 'young at heart'! Get along to some meets and experience it for yourself Many of us wear grey hair with pride... or at least, we can't afford Grecian 2000 as we spent our last $50 on parts. That's not generally viewed as a disability here on Bimmersport (we're a non-descriminatory inter-denominational bunch), the rest of the country long ago forgave those north of the Bombays syphoning off extra petrol tax to build more roads in Auckland... You gain extra points for disarming honesty!

Picking up my new car tomorrow. NZ New with 78k. Weekend driver for the next 15 to 20 years. My contribution to the classics of the future. My brother has one as well. He's lucky cause he has the optional M seats and steering wheel fitted. I don't! But I want! It's awesome! Impossible to source... if anyone has a lead, anytime with a wrecked M Coupe or someone who's going track and therefore will change their setup, please let me know... anyway excited, it's 2:55am, can't sleep.... looking forward to pick her up! Photo is not great, as she is not silver but rather SILBERGRAU METALLIC which is fancy for gun metal grey or dark grey... Regards Coupe classic.... love the 240z.... suppose this will eventually become like that.

Hi Everyone, I'm a long time BMW enthusiast and have finally joined bimmersport. I currently have a 1974 NZ New 2002 and have owned a few BMW's in the past including an E46 ETCC 'factory' race car, an E21 323 and a few E36s. Plans for the 2002 are to leave it standard(ish) and slightly lower it on a set of BBS RS's I am currently re-building. Cheers, Shaun.

No interior pics yet, the insides a mess, but once I sort out my new seats and harnesses etc and get the paperwork done I'll grab some. It's a 6 point rollcage with no side intrusions. In the mean time, new (very old wheels I've had sitting around for years) are on, as are the new lights all around. Still needs a good clean and polish before the weekends show.

So all up to date now. Unfortunately they have no more sets of the Rota Titans in Hyper Black in the country so will be putting my old wheels on until then. Car is back from the Fabricators with a 6 point cage in. Drove it for the first time in 6 months and it's going better than ever. Got my new tailights and headlights delivered today to update the look a bit. They're not for everyone (not much of this car is!) but personally I love how they look.
