If you intend to do any more that trackdays, rivnuts are not legal. You must use minimum 6mm bolts with panel washers and locknuts. They look nice and work well so long as there is no load, they would pull very quickly under impact.

I believe so, they say around 10 hp, but mine went from 191hp on a before run to 208hp with the maf conversion, no other mods were made between the 2 runs. Nicer sound too.

Mines an E28 head and block, both have been planed, with E34 valves and regrind on the original cam, and the miller maf conversion, and it's got 153kw and 380 nm of torque at the wheels.

Simple swap, remove all the power steering bits and swap in a full manual rack. Make sure you get the steering linkage from the rack to the steering shaft for the manual rack, as it is longer than the power unit. You can keep your arms if you want, they are both the same.

What Brent said, we run a M20 flywheel in the M54B30 race car with a later small E30 320i starter with no problems at all. Pretty sure you'll find the 9 tooth is from an M30, they have 9 teeth and a bigger tooth on the flywheel for them.
