  1. Sorry, I was thinking of harness mounts, Fire extinguishers are a) A retaining system incorporating quick release metal fastenings/straps, or material of equivalent strength (ie Kevlar), secured to the structure of the vehicle by a minimum of two 6mm bolts with panel washers and locknuts. Ian, 1kg is the minimum I believe.
  2. If you intend to do any more that trackdays, rivnuts are not legal. You must use minimum 6mm bolts with panel washers and locknuts. They look nice and work well so long as there is no load, they would pull very quickly under impact.
  3. Will take the tail lights please.
  4. I believe so, they say around 10 hp, but mine went from 191hp on a before run to 208hp with the maf conversion, no other mods were made between the 2 runs. Nicer sound too.
  5. Mines an E28 head and block, both have been planed, with E34 valves and regrind on the original cam, and the miller maf conversion, and it's got 153kw and 380 nm of torque at the wheels.
  6. Simple swap, remove all the power steering bits and swap in a full manual rack. Make sure you get the steering linkage from the rack to the steering shaft for the manual rack, as it is longer than the power unit. You can keep your arms if you want, they are both the same.
  7. No, the gearbox doesn't have to come off, there are 2 small cutouts on the bottom of the box to access those bolts thru.
  8. Correct, we didn't gut anything.
  9. Sure they fit, we've got one in an E30, lot's of room, no cutting needed.
  10. What Brent said, we run a M20 flywheel in the M54B30 race car with a later small E30 320i starter with no problems at all. Pretty sure you'll find the 9 tooth is from an M30, they have 9 teeth and a bigger tooth on the flywheel for them.
  11. Sold, went today and stayed in the BS family, may show up on here again soon.
  12. Good thing you got the pics before the fire Andy. Seems someone forgot to put the petrol cap on properly and the back end caught fire, melting the bumper off in the process. Quite a site going around the sweeper with flames engulfing the rear end.
  13. Or the woman you feel Grant?
  14. Either, but prefer the Mk 1's, and I was quite a bit younger than Dan when they first came on the scene.
  15. Mk 1 Escort Mexico and Lotus Cortina when I was your age Dan.

  17. Easy boys, unless you are a very good driver you wouldn't know the difference, so really personal preference as to value for buck. Like, do you like red cars or black ones, red ones are faster I'm told, eh Andy?
