Happy Birthday Jon, see you in May.
-
Still going, up to 600 Gone to tonylauno1, from here, $625, good buy.
-
Hope you noted that it's sold.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...833&ed=true It's mine, been a good reliable car, but upgraded.

Agree with Brent, I had exactly the same problem with the E32, and changed the viscous, I can now sit in traffic all day and the needle won't move over halfway.
-
C'mon Dan, you can think up a better one than that, surely. I got a $30 in the truck the other day for doing 99 in a 100. Told the cop I was driving on my car license, as it's only a small truck, and that I thought the car license meant car speed, ie. 100 in a 100. He wasn't impressed either.

Check the driveshaft first, get under the car and make sure the centre hanger bearing is intact, and the rubber guibo on the back of the gearbox is good. You'll need to remove the heat shield over the exhaust to get at the hanger bearing, it's in the middle of the driveshaft. Speedo could be disconnected at the diff, it has a plug on the back of the diff.

message him on here, he's KBM, Kayne Barrie Motorsport.
-
4.27 diff at 6000 revs in 3rd gives you 122 kph, drop it to 2nd and it'll drop to 80kph, spells rear wheel lock up and severe spin trouble.
-
Like your thinking on this one John.

When I removed the vanos on the race car I set the cam sensor wheel 180 degrees out and it did the same as you describe, so , on that basis it may need it to run?
-
If it has fuel and spark then you'd think it is missing timing or compression, so probably cam or crank sensor or ECU?

I've bought 2 cars from them and not had a problem, they were both 30 % below market, and although a bit dirty were fine. -
Just so you guys know, I won't be chasing this, too many other projects atm. Was soooo tempted, $750 for a full m30 manual conversion and sport seats.
-
You know I have Paul.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=362529443 Something you're not telling us Young Jack? Almost guarantee you it's blown the gasket out the back of number 6.
-
Helps if you support the hub so when you are loading the ball joint the whole lot doesn't move, I place a jack under the hub and then put the nut back on so it's wound down level with the top of the thread, then one good hit straight down on top almost always works, with no damage. I take to responsibility for any results tho.

Sure is, I'd like to see the other 5 to see if they've been balanced as well.

E39, 5 x 120, common and hard to sell, sorry. -
The 6 speed fits the E30 fine, we run one in the E30 race car behind the M54B30 with no mods. We also use the light M20 flywheel with a custom clutch plate and std pressure plate, with a M20 starter.
