  1. Good practice Glenn, I wonder how many do this?
  2. Glenn, this is taken from the govt site regarding the act. Legally you cannot hold the car, if the police are involved they will get it back for the owner. All the owner has to say is that he is disputing the amount charged, and you must then go thru the courts. http://www.consumeraffairs.govt.nz/consumerinfo/liens.html "If there is a dispute between the parties, the goods cannot be held or sold. But in practice the retailer or service provider may attempt to hold onto the goods until the full payment is received. If you are not able to reach an agreement with the retailer or service provider, you may be better to pay the full amount to get the goods back, and then seek to resolve the dispute in the Disputes Tribunal. You must tell the retailer or service provider that you are paying "without prejudice". This means that you are not accepting the amount charged. Or, you could offer to pay part of the bill in order to get the goods back and seek their agreement that they go to the Disputes Tribunal to resolve the issue over the balance."
  3. So Dan's been sneaking off to Taupo for practice while we've all been working.

    Happy Birthday Jimmy.
  5. Mine runs a 4.1, absolutely lovely, suits the power down to the ground.
  6. Happy Birthday Kayne, hope you have a good one. KBM Motorsport
  7. There are 3 E30 320s for sale at Turners Damaged Auction this Thursday in Auckland. One has been hit in the back but the other 2 look damage free, but all are sold dereged. Not sure, but I think the cost's about 400 to revin if it has been reged in NZ before, and is up to scratch, sure someone will correct me if wrong. Manual conversions start around 7 to 800 on the cheap, and around 1000 to 1200 with some new bits, like cylinders and clutch plate.
  8. No Heath, their stuff is mostly dereged, as that one was. Pity, that's how they sell the damaged ones.
  9. Make sure it's reged or at least on hold, dereged would be a pain to get back on the road.
  10. Just had another look, and Dan's car, Driftit, is a 4 dr as well, along with at least 6 others.
  11. No difference in handling or setup. A 4 dr won the 2nd year IIRC, and there are 4drs in the top 10 at the moment. The top 318 is a 4 dr, Brent Allen's no. 64, check out the pics in the Hampton Downs thread.
  12. Don't limit yourself to a coupe, there are some 4 doors in the series, and they don't seem handicapped at all, wish I could say the same about their drivers?
  13. Kayne Barrie, Silverdale is the best. http://www.kbmmotorsport.co.nz/index.htm
  14. It's only me and Brent playing silly beggars trying to find the reserve.
  15. They quote 7 to 10%, if that's 40 to 50 hp, I'd be satisfied with what I started with?
  16. Hey Brook, it's all good mate, what you're feeling now is what the Mods feel sometimes as well, as you said, let's all just harden up a bit, I for one don't want to see this forum go the way of some of the others. ps, I'm really only here for the racing, and to help when I can.
  17. Again Brook, you don't stop and think do you, who do you think supports BS and pays for it to operate, I doubt it lives on your subscription, or mine. If you think the young ones can set up their own, and pay for the service, then, go for it. The first option is obviously the only viable one, so, as you say, harden up and get real.
  18. That's my thick skin again, I just ignored that one, obvious crap.
