For an M42 about $100. You will need the rocker cover gasket, spark plug tube seals and rocker cover bolt seals. Rocker cover gasket set (includes spark plug tube seals) $ 42.50 + GST Rocker cover bolt seals 15 @ $4.13 + GST These prices are from BM Workshop in Grey Lynn Ph.3761250 I can supply them for less.... 10% discount to BS members

There is a filter inside the pan and you'll need a pan gasket too. Your car could take either G3 full synthetic or longlife oil. There will be a sticker on the bottom of the pan which will tell you what type. It's best you don't do this yourself...there is a correct proceedure. If in doubt... give me a call. You also need to check the change shaft seal and wiring harness seals for leaks. Clear adaptions as well after the trans service. Cheers Glenn

What is the actual problem ?? If the mechanic has narrowed it down to the divider head being faulty....these cannot be repaired. You could try a carbon clean machine on it to clear internal galleries. We fixed an Audi with a carbon clean a few months back, it had Kjet too. Do you get fuel pressure to all injectors ? and have the injectors been checked ??... waste of time cleaning these types of injectors if the crack pressure and spray patterns are wrong you need to replace them. But without doing other checks first, I wouldnt go there yet. Has a cylinder leak test, manifold vacuum check been done ?? Have valve clearances been checked ?? Also check distributor cap & rotor and check that the divider head flap is not sticking.... the list goes on......... Edit: BTW Kjet injectors should crack open at approx 2bar pressure and spray properly up to 11bar. Bringing the pressure down, they should continue to spray down to about 1.8-9 bar, then close and not leak. They should have a good spray pattern and not squirt or spray sideways. Unfortunately I have sold my Kjet injector tester to Peter at Motor Service in Panmure as the older Mercedes vehicles use Kjet. Other types of injector flow benches may be able to test these for you, however the operator will need a "brain" too. You can try Blair at Woodhead Electrical in Panmure for a carbon clean.

I would use....and we do use a full synthetic 5w40. We sell ELF products. You dont specifically need to use ELF though.
