Chassis number works....Japanese import 2003 E46 Retail $326.11 + Freight + GST I can only give you 5% discount on this and would need payment before ordering. You would also need to have the keys re-initialised

We all have bad experiences from time to time...if its all sorted now...just learn from this and try and get over it. Remember to, that wreckers are not necessarily technicians and may not know if the shocks were knackered or not....the distance doesnt help either. We can run into the same problems too, but we generally go and get our parts ourselves so we know what we are getting. After saying all this....I wouldnt use second hand shocks anyway Just my 2 cents worth

E34 suspension advice wanted - springs+shocks
*Glenn* replied to e34alex's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
If cost is not a factor ...go Bilsteins. If cost is a factor I would suggest Boge shocks as it seems you dont want to lower it much. A set of H&R springs from Keith @ H&R will do the trick Talk to Keith first Ph. 021378902 We can do the install for you, you might also have to replace top shock mounts and bumpstop/gator kits as well and have the wheel alignment corrected. Just give me a call (09)2722546 Cheers Glenn -

It may not necessarily be the trans that is causing this. Get it scanned first. Changing the filter, pan gasket and oil may improve things. However I would suggest you get it scanned by a competant person with a brain first and go from there. Make sure they scan DME, EGS & ABS. The early cars like yours dont have adaptive capability.

*Glenn* replied to pennyfan's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
I've done a conversion on mine too. I'm running a M52 B28. I'm using Bilsteins out of an E36 328 Coupe. I had to shorten the rear shocks and I used H&R springs through Keith at H&R Check this: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index.php?showtopic=8117 As I said before ring me or Keith for the right advice BTW... has your car been certed yet ??? I understand the previous owner had problems. -

2" or 50mm are a requirement for trailers with a gross weight (laden) over 2,000kg and must be braked I'm sure I've got that right. I dont do WOF's here and dont have my WOF regs here... I'm sure thats right though I really think that they (the LTSA) should make all trailers 2" / 50mm No more problems then
-
I dont think you will get anyone to do that Ollie. There will be no strength in it. An engineer wouldnt cut and weld a forged steel tow ball tongue and cert it. The problem with those tow bars is, that they limit you to 2"/ 50mm towing couplings on trailers. With a standard tongue type tow bar you can get the adaptor kits to change ball sizes... they are about $100 I just cant understand why they just dont change the law and make couplings & ball sizes a standard size. Many people have lost trailers because they have fitted 2" coupled trailers onto 17/8" tow balls. We had a customer do this with a horse float with her two horses in it. Lucky for her it happened on her long driveway. Horses were ok. Trailer, fence and power pole got damaged though. The safety chain just snapped. Most safety chains are not capable of taking the loaded weight of the trailer.

I did my little E30's tail lights....all red with clear reverse lights Just take the lights out and mask them up, paint the orange indicators first ( 2 coats ) then two coats over the whole lense. Then two coats of clear laquer...real easy The paint I used was stained glass laquer paint from Mitre 10 was about $12 and a tin of clear laquer
