  4. I have the car here now at my workshop and its not looking good, unfortunately for JPh. The burning smell was the auto trans cooler pipe cutting through on the power steering pulley ( hoses fitted incorrectly) this blew when the towy was putting it on the transporter. The electrical (cluster) fault is the alternator not charging and incorrect battery. I wont discuss anything more at this stage as it is not my position to disclose the other problems. We have carried out an inspection and provided a report for JPh I'm sure he will devulge all later, when he decides what to do. Cheers Glenn

  14. Personaly I wouldn't use any type of wire I only suggested 7.5 amp fuse as anything is better than nothing... you will still do damage using a 7.5 amp fuse if you do it wrong. However the fuse might stop you burning yourself while you cock it up.
  15. I've done both those on my Ducati. Actually I've done every road everyone has mentioned on the Ducati. We used to do a South Island trip every year to coincide with the Hokita Wild Food Featival. I really loved the SI rides...great roads for motorbikes. The other that I like is the East Coast down through Opotiki going down to Napier and then back to Auckland via Taupo. I've sold the Ducati now

  20. When you come in here asking questions and asking for help, you should listen. There are plenty of people in here willing to help you. If you want the "right" answers, be prepared for a little criticism, with out taking it to heart. You have your "fix" for the tyres rubbing However your set up is all wrong for safe handling. Yes, you are a Noob (as you put it) and you are getting the correct answers from people in here. Listen to them & learn (1) Your car is too low ( even though it may be certed ) being that low you have introduced camber and geometry problems (handling) especially at speed and cornering. Your new 215 tyres wont last that long at all either. (2) The off set is wrong (end of story) it might fit, but it is wrong (3) The tyre size is wrong for that size wheel, you have a "fix" so you can drive it, however it is wrong. This is constructive criticism, you asked a question, you were given the "right" answers, you have your "fix" for the rubbing, but unfortunatley your set up is all WRONG for the car. End of "gibberish" lesson Glenn
  21. I would have asked "what was the patch" ...just being cheeky
