  1. The picture is a joke based on the fact that the person took the family photo with the ladies faces completley covered. How could you tell who's who It has nothing to do with race, religion or terrorism. I wish I hadn't posted it now...

    Radiator

Give me a call. I'll need more info first
  3. We use Shane too. He does all our instrument clusters. Great guy and reasonable prices too. He did my cluster (tacho) and also did Riley's tacho for his E30 V8. However I will point out that its not only the wiring that gives problems with ABS pumps. Depends on the fault code. Thats why we use Rob @ Powerstop for our pumps and only end up doing the repair once... with a warranty.
  4. Why would you bother ????? you cant see anyone
  5. You might get the right info off this site http://www.m535i.org/officers/ra/article.html#motor

  7. Especially after seeing the Land Rover ( I think it was ) on TV last nite. Someone will be in the shyte after that too
  8. I have covered this before in previous threads. If the ABS is coming up with speed sensor faults, drive the car with the scanner and check live data. If all 4 speed sensors are reading properly and within a 2km speed range at 30kph, the fault is in the circuit board in the ABS control unit. This is very easy to check by an experienced person. Also make sure that tyres sizes are correct, these can also give an ABS fault. Also to confirm its not the sensor, swap them and recheck. There are DIY info on the internet to do this. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself. Get a local brake specialist to take it off for you and send it to Rob: Powerstop Engineering Unit 3 2 Wilrose Place Tauranga Ph. (07) 5788909 Approx $300 Rob will repair the circuit board, flush the pump, check activation, clear memory fault codes and give a 12 month warranty and he does a very neat job too. You cant tell its been apart. Then get the brake specialist to refit it and bleed the brakes for you All done and not too painfull $$$$$ wise Hope this helps Cheers Glenn PS You can always ring me for advise if you want
  9. Too hard to tell, so much damage under the bonnet, everything just melted. The owner just parked it, locked it up and went visiting a client and came back to it rooted.
  10. No....just burnt like that for a while till the fire brigade got there and put it out. Was a bloody mess. The owner was gutted. I should have got more pictures. I wouldnt go near it with the fire extinguisher. Everyone was yelling it's going to blow. So I just watched. It was too far gone to do anything and I didnt want to get hurt trying to be a hero

    my own fault

The plastic rollers or plastic retainers normally go first, then the wire cable either breaks or tangles and can sometimes damage the motor drive. Either way, you have to replace the regulator. If you damage the weather seal, replace it, otherwise you will get water inside the car if left outside in the rain. Take your time getting this off with a very sharp knife or razor blade. Just carefully cut the seal bonding. We always use new sealing strip, we have a roll of it. BTW. I wouldnt go second hand. You'll be buying something that is as old or older than the one that is broken. You'll end up doing it again at some stage. OK if you were selling it though.
  17. Hi Katie I'd need to check and scan the car first to give you some of your answers. Some of the headlights we can replace the adjusters on . Some we have to get repaired because the internal adjusters are not available. Our repairer makes the adjusters. Those types of headlights are glued together and can be easily broken, the earlier ones are just sealed. Being a 1999, its probably the later. Depends on the headlights you have fitted. I would need to look at the car first. Give me a call Monday Cheers Glenn
