  2. I hope the fun your going to have is on a track or in a paddock and not on our roads Just an old fart talkin here tho No offence implied Cheers Glenn
  3. The engine type will be either M50B25 or M52B25 (with Vanos)...dependant on year The engine number can be determined by the last 7 digits of the Vin number ie: ET56746 All parts for your car can be purchased by that number If you want the actual engine number ( for wot ever reason ) ring the dealer and quote that number EASY Cheers Glenn
  4. My 2 cents worth here and I'm not trying to stirr it up But shouldnt you all be talking about going low and staying safe ?? You guys have nice cars that you worked hard for....looking "cool" is fine...but do it properly Get the right advise from people in the industry....not "mate's" I know it costs to do it properly, but thats wot you should be doing Decide wot you want to do, see if its legal, safe, get the right advise, and then go shopping 100mm is the legal limit....without a cert Done properly, you can get a cert for a lower car......mine is certified at 70mm We have sponsors in here that can help you and give you the right advise... TALK TO THEM !!! We have Keith @ H&R springs..he does coil overs too Ph. 021378902 Chris @ Suspension Tech Ph. 2731232 or 0272145325 And for wheels & tyres talk to our new sponsors Mag & Tyres Direct There are many others in here too that have gone down that road, and done it properly My advise would be: Dont cut, grind, compress, remove or heat anything Buy good gear and do it right.... your car, your life or someone elses may depend on it PLEASE PLAY SAFE Glenn
  5. I have some springs to get rid of (1) Full set of King Supa Lows for E36 sedan 6cylinder (not legal tho) $100 (2) Full set of standard E36 6 cylinder springs $100 (3) Full set of New B&G E46 sedan 4 cylinder...40mm drop $200 Cheers Glenn Ph. (09) 2722546
  6. One at the top and one at the bottom. Should be a flat washer between the spring & the bottom seal as well. Cheers Glenn
  7. Its probably one of the hoses. Take the stone tray off, clean all the hoses off, road test and check which hose is leaking. Could also be the cooler hose "O" rings where they go into the cooler.
  8. Its not a seal. The window is bonded to the car. The "seal" you are talking about is cosmetic only. New the seal is about $80 from BMW and it can be difficult to fit as from new it is fitted when the glass is fitted. When you take it out you must clean out the excess eurothane (carefully) and in stall the new moulding with lots of lubricant ( dish washing detergent will to the job) Takes a little force to get it in . Hope this helps Cheers Glenn
  9. For an unmodified vehicle we use the OE Boge shock absorbers which we get from an alternative supplier for E36 6 cylinder vehicles. We use Monroe for the 4 cylinder vehicles. The retail price is about $265.00 per shock, but I can do you a deal. But I'll need the shaft size and the threaded length at the top where the strut mount bolts on. There are three variations. Or if the shocks on the car are still the genuine ones, give me the number off the shock body. If you supply that info I can get back to you with a price. Cheers Glenn
  10. European Auto Spares in Manukau had some Give them a try ....Ph. (09) 2623752 Cheers Glenn
  11. Hi there 10W40 semi synthetic or full synthetic is the correct grade of oil Cheers Glenn
  12. This cannot be done at any reasonable cost. After 1998 all cars ECU's are specific and run a different Canbus system. It is cheaper to buy a 330 and keep the 320 as well. The build date for even an engine swap can be month specific. We have looked at this before. You could run a 330 motor in a E30 or E36 if it was manual and run a aftermarket ECU so long as it would run twin Vanos or convert with Shrick cams and run no Vanos. You would need very deep pockets to do anything like this with any BMW after 1998. Someones probably done it in the states...... but at what cost. If you want more HP....buy cubic inches... its cheaper. It would cost more money to convert an E46 320I into an E46 330I than just going out and buying a nice one. Hope this helps Any questions... just give me a call Cheers Glenn

    SRS LIGHT ON

Some scan tools give false error information 6 means nothing unless you have the fault code list from the software manufacturer. If you are in Auck I can check it for you. Both our scan tools give faults showing as specific faults ie: "passengers occupancy sensor" " firing circuit, belt pretensioner (drivers side)" These also show a manufacturers fault code number & BMW number. 06 in Bosch system says passengers occupancy sensor or firing curcuit. You need to check it more specificaly with a better scanner. Hope that helps Glenn
  14. The diffs all have a ratio tag on them. Check the ratio. Its a small tag on one of the rear cover bolts. Compare ratios The first 3 numbers are the ratio...ie: 444 = 4.44:1 364 = 3.64:1 Hope that helps Glenn
  15. I would check the pump impellor first- commom problem, the plastic impellor is probably broken or loose on the shaft. And change the thermostat now after all these overheat situations. Cheers Glenn

  20. Possibly one of the vacuum hoses or the crankcase ventilator valve.....not such a big deal to fix
  21. The fuel line leak is a common problem. Just take the top half of the plenum chamber off and replace hose with new clips. Some have 2 hoses. Only use high pressure reinforced 7.5mm fuel line thoough. . Even though the trans has green sticker...if it says Dextron II then you can use that. We use full synthetic G3 Cheers Glenn You can ring me if you like
