-
Yea im going to see if i can get one this week, still doesnt explain why the fuel pump relay stoped working on me all i can think is a ecu fault code stoping it, yea but if it had pressure on the old engine it shouldnt have being stuffed

Hi Guys as you know ive being doing on engine conversion from a e32 M30B35 into my e28, i have manged to wire the ecu into the e28 loom and now i have a few problems 1. no Fuel is getting to the fuel rail even tho there is fuel going to the pressure regulator. 2. the fuel pump relay has stoped working, worked when first wired up, plugs getting power but switch not going have tried another relay so geuss ECU. Have tried other pressure regulator no fuel came out at all, but had to jump jumper 30 -87 on relay to bypass and get fuel to pum, turned over engine nothing fuel injectors fine, only thing i guess is ecu any ideas of ways of testing, could no vaccum cause this Cheers any question as spent all w.e checking wiring etc no luck

Hay Guys Just thourt id let you know i have just got some new rotors and pads for my car from Darren from DMclutches email [email protected] great service and no issues and cant wait to put the new rotors on my car
-
hay Guys just done my conversion, yea all up mine cost me about 2k with new clutch kit, bolts etc, have gone through two shifters and nethier are for my car so at some stage ill prob get that fixed up, but all goes and no issues putting it in if you can change a auto you can do a manual conversion no sweet only issue i have is linging up the shaft when putting it onto the engine now i have a hoist just rip the whole thing out takes about prob couple hours most, def go with the lightweight e28 flywheel, the dualmass is i dont know just alot more aggrsive when changing
-
Hay I would suggest pulling up your carpet and letting it completly dry out before shampooing or anything, i just used a dehumidifyer in my car i know it sounds stupid but gets the mosture out of everything and itl prob be your heater i have had that with quite a few of my cars, it seems to come from the randonist places at time but if you have carpet up i would block heater pipes and run the heater alltho youll only get cold air and see if you get any water if not thats prob what it will be

You scored a total of 44 The Lively Center of Attention Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. Hay Marty Im using the e28 fuse box and the loom and ecu of the e32 which i have sussed out all the wires except for the ones that i need to connect to the main reley theres a iginition wire, power wire and a couple others just wanted to know do i put the corrosponding wires of the reley onto the e32 loom in the same way all the other wires do, im prob not making any sense let me know if im not
-
Hay Guys Adding to my last post i have worked out most of the wires and my engine bay and wiring harness def looks a bit nicer now i have to say my one issue is the main relay i think i have sused it out cause by what i get not all the wires are needed when converting cause some are grounds and just power of the old harness that goes to the ecu has anyone done this i would hate to get it together and try turn it over and blow something. does anyone one have any idea about testing before starting Cheers
-
Thanks for that guys, im sure i can get something made up Cheers

Hay Bro goto real oem and have a look - the adjuster is one of the holes on the air flow meter that noramally has a alan key looking hole, mines back right corner when you looking down at it it will have a adjuster try adjusting it,
-
never really had much luck with mine you can screw it right closed, but you will need to up your idle speed so you dont stall, with mine i can adjust it either way and doesnt really affect it, but yea try cleaning it out and see if that works, if not you could run a bypass valve to let a certian ammount of air in all the time

Hay Guys Does anyone have a pick or anything of the drivers side mount cause, ive being looking at other forums and they say i need to mod one or get one made up. Is this tru if so do you have a pic or does anyone have one that i can get for the w.e at not to much price cause i really need to do my swap this w.e otherwise another week of waiting Cheers
-
Yea gives you alot less room with the power streering box, but think ive decided im just going to prob mod my b28 exhaust manifold cause its kinda like a log style one, unless a guy i know can do it for cheaper would still need to weld it and put the flange on but not really that biga issue, and would be prob $60 manifold cause of welding and the flange what do you guys reakon about doing that??
-
Yea for sho Damo and Topcat are the killer M30's, well running lowish boost even like 15 on the m30 would still be sweet and with the right ecu its easy to follow topcat and get some mean power out of these cars i do admit looking at some overseas forums, people saying 750hp thats insane i would scared to drive that car unless the whole engine had being rebuilt spec with most m30's easily close to the 250k km mark lolz but all fun with turbos cant wait to i can finish doing mine once sort my shiz out
-
Thats awsome as yea ill just mod my current one, all i need is a welder would be nice know anyone thats selling one cheap
-
Hay Guys this was put onto a m20 and was wundering if it would be worth putting this onto a m30 engine as this means i could put a front mount intercooler and would def free up some space in the engine bay what do you guys reakon or just stay with the stock looking manifold for the m30 upto suggestions just trying to make my car as clean as possible and stress freeeee, but with bmw yea right lolz Cheers
-
Hay guys does anyone know where i can get the info on what the e24 m6 had in it, eg Cam profile, compression etc as i was wundering if its worth putting any of these into my M30b35 before turboing to get some more N/A power so i can less boost before i spend the big dollars on the car Cheers
-
Thanks guys yea i got the details but the do look aftermarket from like "AFT or something like that cant really read that but should be all good, once my other brakes arrive ill let you know, how well it stops lolz

Heres some pics not that good quality as taken off my cell phone and the engine was upside down for the piston one

User Name replied to 0llie's topic in Maintenance

hay guys i recently got some brakes off hellbm (thanks ray) but the one thing that is confusing me is both brakes have the same part number and they dont match up to any of part numbers i can find, the part number i can see off the caliperis 60 28 309 -im not doubting ray at allthat they are theright brakes just dont want to go and buy rotors then find out they dont fit, the brakes are sposed to be off a 540i, still think its weird they have same part number that shouldnt matter at all right cheersguys

Hay Guys as you know i have put quie a few topics up about my cylinder head and lately the problamtic ubrut engine stoping, i have found the culprit after taking the engine out so i can put the m30b35 engine in next w.e, after i took the engine out (will post pics prob tommorw if i can get them off my cell) firstly took the valve cover off - number 3 pistons exhaust valves rocker arm was gone, So continued on next took the cylinder head off and number 3 pistons has a huge hole in it LOLZ, then looked under the cylinder head, and the valve is sideways into the head, scrap metal were spark plug goes lolz i really hope i can get these pics for you, as i was very surprised at what i found lolz, Also PM me if you want the complete engine or parts of the b28 motor Cheers kym

Hay guys ive being looking at the manifold of the 745i turbo and by the looks of it i reakon you could just flip it over and use the manifold the otherway and seal the ends up, and i reakon you would be able to use it this link shows it setup on the manifold for LHD http://bmwturbos.scottiesharpe.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4781 but if you look i reakon if you put the manifold up the otherway and just turned the turbo round you could get it put on there nice does anyone have one of the manifolds they could have a look and see what it would be like up the otherway cause for a turbo project if that worked out, im sure you could get some quick cash for doing it

Hi Guys Do any of the e30 cars have a m30 engine in it cause i found a e30 turbo manifold for cheap and worked out if they have a m30 engine in them i should be able to use this manifold, otherwise alot of modding will need to be done
