Someone 'new' to Trademe pushes the price up at the start of the auction until the counter bidding stops with days to go. Finally, still with a day to go, the 'bid' is beaten by a single bid. There is still no action on the last day but only an hour after the auction finishes, the item is 'offered' for less money. Sound suspicious or is this normal TM practice?

Probably only ones that have no idea what they are selling !

Id have to vote for black....or even stock to be honest. I really like the gold but not on a standard 15' rim. It really needs to be on a decent 17'/18' BBS rim to pull it off. Black looks good, but its not a huge difference over stock IMO.

As he has already explained the m325 is in Christchurch and the 190E is in Auckland....not so easy when theyre at opposite ends of the country.The m325 is obviously a nice car, but the Merc is something a little special. If you can handle the looks (never been a huge Merc fan on that basis alone) and the running costs, surely its better to have something to really light your fire rather than something thats probably only 80% of that. TBMW did a comparison a while ago between the 190E and an e30 M3. The M3 pipped it, but only just, could you say the same about an m325 ?

I put KYB and King springs in my 325. Half the price of Bilsteins and H&R's but still drove brilliantly. Ive heard lots of people moan about KYB's but no-one did after having been in the car themselves.

What hardware are you using for xnet then ?

Anyone here using a voip solution rather than a POTS landline? I have the telstra triple pack at the moment, but am not watching Sky now the football is over and am fed up with paying 40 notes for a landline I never use. Im looking at either xnet or 2Talk and wondered is anyone has used either of them

Do you have the self levelling in the rear ? Is it oil or air ?Ive lowered my air suspension by 25mm and its brilliant. Lots of people around the world have done it with no problems on standard shocks. Took the dealers all of 15 minutes. I got the front shocks from Keith and couldnt be happier. Not the biggest drop but I didnt want to drop it on its ar$e.

But if your only sticking it in a new ipod whats the problem ? You drag the data into a directory, import it with itunes (which reads and displays all the media information) and then stick it on the new ipod....sorted and no software required.

Your three year old has a BMW steering wheel and gear knob an uses them every day in his 'car' when playing 'holidays' with his older sister !

I think e39 headlights are an 'all in one' headlight so to get the clear fronts you need to replace the whole unti and not just the indicator. There are write-ups on the web on how to replace the orange for white but you need to take the unit apart quite a bit and I think that only works on pre-facelift headlights, along I might have that the wrong way around. I bought mine from Eurolights on trademe. Brilliant service, upgraded to xenon at the same time, they put it all together for me before shipping and they give a 10% bimmersport discount All up cost me just over a grand including the sides as well.

Each to their own mate, its your car ! One question though, why do people buy huge wheels and tyres but sell the car the week later ? Surely you dont expect to recoup the money you spent. PM me with a price without the wheels
