Seen that one before mate, just tells me the amount of oil etc
-
Thanks David, but thats just the same as realoem isnt it, just laid out differently. I was just hoping to find somethng that could tell me what kit this car has whilst TM is down.
-
I know all about realoem etc, but are there any websites where you can enter the chassis number to get the build sheet ? My mum is after an e39 and has found a 525 in Auckland but its from Singapore, so I want to see if there is any additional info I can find, especially as TM is dead right now and I cant see the car on there.

Hey Scott, You may not have noticed that this thread is from July 2006 Jochen is now back in Europe but still and active member, so Im sure he will be along to give you an answer at some stage. [e] In the meantime do some searching on the site and Im sure you'll be able to answer some more questions about what is and what isnt possible with the tv/nav in your car.

A friend of mine had identical symptoms with his 97 540i/6, I'll ask him tomorrow what the solution was and let you know. rjac001, you seriously need to take a step back and ask yourself if what your posting is relevant. At the moment most of it is just rubbish. Two people with 540's have similar issues and the only thing you have to say is to check the dizzy cap

Cracking job, Im pretty sure I see you going up Aro Valley pretty much every day

Im keen to see some more photos, Ive sent you an email already I quite fancy seeing left completely as it is, just a light resto type of thing.

I wonder how much work it would be to fit an e36 328 enigne into this

Nah mate, I thought youd end up giving up the beer (no typo this time) in the rush to get it going, Im not daft enough to think you'd give it up altogether !
-
What he said. If he doesnt want to sell it for a pittance, dont put it on $1 reserve, basic econ101 mate.Im not exactly sure how you can defend it Pjay.

As someone who has used them all over the world Id be interested to know what you guys are all looking at to be concerned about someone looking over your shoulder. Do people use them for anything more than just checking your email, getting the latest football scores etc ? Id hate to be sat at the 'pod' ones above. Someone else that really gets on my t!ts is how they are all designed for midgets, I struggle to find anything remotely comfortable at my height

Youre probably right Grant, but its another couple of hundred saved to spend on something else in the meantime

Definitely the size of the car helps. The first time I washed the e30 after ten years of doing a 750il and 740 I was amazed how quick it was. Just being able to do the entire roof from one side of the car was a bonus !!

PM'd Graham, I remember the days have having the time to do this....its really satisfying to stand back and take a look over it once youve finished. I did the front of the touring not so long ago, just everything forward of the windscreen. That took me from 10am until 3pm. Finished it two minutes before one of the most potent thunderstorms Ive ever seen in NZ. The hail was the size of golf balls and I wondered why Id bothered the next day, it was covered in all the leaves from the trees at our place !

Couldnt even make what you said was impossible Graham.......pussy Seriously good job with the project and the thread though mate......top effort.

I should start charging

Give the thing a thump with your fist. Mine did this a while ago and hasnt done it since. I understand you can take them apart yourself and fix it, Ive seen the writeup on the web but cant find it now Im looking for it !

Very nice, if you dont fancy going the angel eye route this is a great compromise. Any plans for a facelift chrome grill?

This forum isnt getting PC, were just getting more than a little fed up with people banging on about the same old crap.Paul has a point Jeremy, your the first person to comment on anything you think is overpriced and the last person to accept it when its pointed out to you. Your opinion is its overpriced, Pauls opinion is that your always moaning. So take it on the chin and move on. If the place is so boring why dont you go find somewhere else to play ?

Great thanks Glenn, It looks like the seat has already been raised in the photos, Im assuming its just the standard four bolts in the corners with the airbag sensor wire to be removed. Its always nice to be able to 'lay' the back down to get it out a little easier. Being 6'5 I really dont want to be scrambling in the mud all morning trying to get my hands in under the seat

I need to remove the front seats from an e38 on the weekend which normally would take all of ten minutes. But the driver seat doesnt have any of the plastic around the bottom of the seat and is missing the switches aswell. The seats still have power and I need to raise it to get to the bolts under the seat to take it out. So my question is can I just swap the switches from the passenger seat to raise the drivers side, or can I use the switches from the drivers seat on my e39, or is there a mechanical way of raising it? I know there is a mechanical function to the sunroof if power is lost to that so Im hoping there is the same to the seat. Otherwise does anyone know how hard it is to get under the seat to remove the bolts? Cheers

Judging by the amount of times you get the old grannies on the news after having been swindled out of their life savings, quite a lot.

Samantha Hayes is THE babe, end of. Paul Henry is a w*nker. There is nothing brave, big or funny about laughing at someones physical appearance. Pathetic really.

I can recommend the ixuses....ixus'....ixusi....canon's Ive had two over the last eight years or so and am looking to get a new one soon. Cracking photos, great size, well built so Im not going to bother doing any comparisions with the next one Ill just pick the best ixus I can afford at that given time and save myself the hassle.
