I think the OP is aware of the auction process Mark, he wants to know what a fair figure is for it. Vanos, I wouldnt have thought it was going to be worth much more than its currently at, but thats just my opinion. If your prepared to pay more for it though, follow Mark's advice

Ive always understood it was Sept 2001 and Im backed up by the e39 ultimate guide in BMW Car and wikipedia (hehe), but Ive been talking with someone who tells me its Sept 2000. Does anyone have a definitive answer ? [e] Is it different for Jap cars? Ive seen so many e38's with the facelifted front that are clearly pre-facelift cars its not funny. Do they get the cosmetic changes earlier than everyone else ?
-
Define high ? I wouldnt have thought an e36 would cost that much a year to maintain.Ive had years were Ive spent thousands on my e38 and years where Ive spent nothing. 60k kms is nothing on an e39 so I wouldnt expect anything to be wrong with it, so you should just expect to spend the normal on oil changes etc, perhaps an inspection. If its close to it now, get the seller to do it before you buy it.

As your the seller thats your job. Please either put up a price, or remove the thread.

Forget your Meguiars three-step, your Mothers clay bars, your microfibre clothes and your TurtleWax *shudder*, you just need your finger. For the time Ive had the touring there has been a blemish in the paint on one the doors. Its the size of a childs fist looks a little cloudy and has always given the impression that it was just under the surface. It always disappears when its wet, but as soon as it dries out it reappears. Its been incredibly annoying because I see it everytime I get into the car. I was trying to take a photo of it this afternoon (which isnt easy) and with a typical action I just rubbed at it with my finger as you do when you see a blemish. Its at that point that I notice that where I rubbed now has no blemish at all but a small amount of a thin powdery substance. So I rub some more and more of this fine powder appears, little by little the blemish disappears and more of the powders appears. The powder just wiped off with a soft cloth and.....low and behold the blemish has gone ! Ive had two paint shops look at it and both have said the paint is damaged and the door must be resprayed, and Ive tried all sorts of paint restorers, scratch removers, clay bars, paint cleaners, everything. So does anyone have any idea what it could've been?

I think it would be worth checking the hoses to make sure you arent losing pressure with any leaks and that the holes at the end arent blocked in anyway. $220 for a wiper arm is lunacy....even at BMW's inflated prices. Does the blade still remove the water sufficiently ? If so then whats the problem whether its bent or not. Without knowing any more than what youve said, Id say someone is pulling a fast one on you.

Its just so happens that I know the young fella selling that e21.....he has my 16' Alpinas now Im hoping I have someone seriously interested in the touring at the moment. I was thinking of just buying one of teh many 535is' that are about at the moment, but perhaps its time for a project

Hmmmmmm I will be having an m52b28 sitting in the garage doing nothing in a couple of months

Jon, your reps are BK171's from the UK arent they ? If so I think you'll be incredibly lucky to find a spare cover over here. I think Ive only ever seen the sets that Johno brought in a couple of months ago, I definately havent seen any for sale anywhere else. Anwyay, Ebay always used to have them by the truck load and if you go that route, perhaps you should get a couple....just in case

Thanks for the offer Gus, but it wouldnt be worth the hassle to either of us to save 30 bucks when I just walk into the store today and have them there and then.Appreciate it though.

My bad, just checked the listings and Top Gear will be in HD next season. Ill be watching it in HD, I dont know about the rest of you There are a lot of political reasons why Sky wont release Prime for freeview, so I really dont see it happening no matter how many people sign the petition. How is it you think the governement can make a commercial station do anythign anyway ?
-
I dont think Top Gear is filmed in HD is it? The polar special was but I dont remember seeing anything else given the special treatment. Its highly unlikely we will ever see Prime on Freeview simply because its Sky would just end up being a Sport and Movie channel. I know there are the docos etc but their viewing figures would be tiny in comparison.

Before you get too many daft offers, please read this and sort out some photos or a price.

Apparently its something to do with the router you may have at work. I know some people had similar issues from home, changed routers and it was all sorted. I know that doesnt help much, I assume its just started happening? Do you know if anything has changed at work recently ?
