  1. Nice one, could be genuine then. Worth plenty if they are
  2. Closed. Go and find somewhere else to wind each other up people, this isnt MSN.
  3. They look like Harmann's, but they also only look like 17's...or is it just me who thinks they look small? Cant see any sizing on the tyre either. Nice site Paul, what a bunch of anoraks we are eh
  4. Ive always used this bmw wheels website if I needed to see anything but it appears to be well out of date now. There used to be another one very similar to this that had lots more wheels on it, but its been closed down
  5. It tells me there are no matches Now Ive got it

  7. Im just thinking out loud here and would love to hear if anyone has any experience at this. I seem to remember Andrew may have done it to his touring, but I cant find the thread. Anyway, Im wanting to know what can be done about the tourings suspension. In particular I would like to drop it a little to remove some of the dreaded arch gap. Im going to have the Alpinas back on soon and although it looks 'ok' I want more of a hunckered look. Now the touring has the self levelling rear, so is a drop possible without changing the entire suspension over ? I release its never going to be lapping the Nurburgring so Im not looking to spend thousands and I dont want it rock hard either but if its simply chucking in some different springs and disabling the air then Id like to know about it.
  8. There was an 01 530 sport on at 17k for several months, so its not really that cheap. These cars have just plummeted in price the last 18 months. Back then this wouldve easily been worth $30k. Not any more though.
  9. The old saying is a true as ever.....if you have to ask about the fuel consumption you cant afford it. Seriously though, my 740 averaged 16.7mpg around town over the year and 30mpg on the motorway. But my 528 gets 20mpg around town and the same 30mpg on a run. Dont know the l/100km conversion sorry. Do a search, this topic has been discussed time and time again and I seem to remember a thread that has lots of us with M60 and M62's discussing fuel consumption.
  10. Ive been watching it too and have been to see it on a coupe of occasions, its far from pretty and would take quite a bit of work to get back on the road again. It was also an auto originally, if you like your ///M's to be manual.
  11. Ever the diplomat eh Jeremy....keep it on topic please lads

    FS: E28 535iA 1987

I was watching that one for sometime. It wasnt too bad, needed some TLC in places but show me a car at this age that doesnt. It was on TM for well over 6 months and eventually got pulled at 6k.There has also been another m535 in Wellington thats completely in pieces. Thats been available for almost 10 months now and gone down from 7.5k to being offered for 3k last week. Dont know if it sold but it was falling apart with nothing inside other than a drivers seat a steering wheel and the top half of the dash. It wasnt a genuine m535 but had been converted to manual. It had the body kit etc, but it hasnt been driven in 12 months and just didnt look worth the trouble of putting it all back together again at all. Sadly these great cruisers dont appear to be worth much at all.
  14. Now when I said I wouldnt be seen in an e36
  15. Either A or C mate, or how about getting some SE side skirts and painting them red ? I wouldnt bother going to for the tech option purely because its an 'is' and doesnt need them. Just my 'tuppence worth
  16. Interior space !?!I couldnt even get in the rear the roof was so low....whats the point of having something so large if you cant get anyone over 6' in the back ? The boot space was pretty poor too, so I just dont understand the market they were aiming for with it. I can see that all the technology in them is great, but why not just stick it in the new X5 ?
  17. The current 5er is a stunning car in the right spec. The interior isnt as good as it couldve been IMO, but I love the exterior. The new One looks great and Ive always liked the Sevens especially the e38 when on sports suspension and 18' wheels. I think the X6 is a complete waste of time no matter what gadgets its got in it and I like the e39 in full motorsport kit, but are there too many of them around now ? But overall you could never get me in an e36.
  18. The auction also says they are Pfeba and not tech1
  19. To cut a long story short Ive been asked to 'look' at this. linky I know naff all about e36's, so can people please give me an idea if it looks a good deal or not. I asssume this is the budget, so are there better deals out there ? Its for a first car so doesnt need to be anythign flash. Cheers Martyn
  20. I think you'll find that the Mods have just had enough of the crap thats on here at the moment.Im constantly getting complaints about the foul language, the inappropriate avatars, the abuse etc and personally Im getting tired of people hijacking threads, going off topic and the bitching. The thread has been moved and a moderator ha explained his decision, that should be enough for you.
  21. Done, I should dig out the wife's mobile and the two old prepaid sim cards we have too
  22. Its an oil level light, have a look on google, if its on the internet then its got to be true. When you say its all in German, is it on an lcd or something, or painted on? When looking for the oel light I found instructions on how to change it to English. Not sure if it will help you or not though. Something to do with pressing a button thats between the fuel and oil light or something...honestly dont remember the details
  23. Paul is correct for number 1. That usually means you have the indicator stalk pushed to the left when you remove the key. Its for the Europeans for then they park on the wrong side of the road. Your supposed to leave the side thats on the road with a light on it....or you used to, cant remember the last time I saw someone do it. For number 2, google it and read the first page.....sheesh kids these days eh wanting everything without looking for an answer first Its an oil warning light....check your dipstick.
  24. Thanks for the info Jochen.I dont need any incentive mate, just the spare cash....oh well ebay here I come
