Unfortunately the photos are no longer there, but style 37's are the m-parallels and not the M5 wheels. I also dont remember seeing them having enough dish on the rear to make me think they were genuine, but Id have to see another photo to be sure. 18's on an e39 are a must in my opinion. Apart from the handling benefits they look so much better than 17's I dont see too many ferry crossings going today either

Hahaha I dont think any day in the next week is going to be great for the trip over the Strait. It was over 100kph last night in town !! Nice car, the black looks superb with the shadowchromed windows, got any interior pics ?

I know, he has a 750 too.I drove the e23 last weekend and it goes like stink, but its got rust in all the doors, left front guard, in the roof and the rear pillar too

I think its a combination of things that dont do it for me. Ive been driving since I was 12 and I always buy a car that I WANT to drive, something to have some fun in, but the touring was to be a family car that I only got to drive on the weekends. I dont think its an e39 thing as such, but the combination of a bigger engine, sports suspension and comfort seats made my e38 a much more enjoyable car to drive. The e32 750iL I used to have was aswell. The touring only has the basic seats and they arent that comfortable when your 6'5 I dont even feel inspired to upgrade the lights, get a body kit and sort out the nav etc. It really is just car to get from A to B and thats a first for me. Even though my I need a crowbar to get in and out of the e30 I still asked myself 'what am I doing selling this?' each time I drove it. I sat in an 'is' without a sunroof the other day and there was plenty of room, so perhaps I just need to find an e30 with no sunroof ! Ive been looking at e28's and e23's alot recently, both appeal to me in terms of body shape and are obviously bigger than an e30. I think I just need a bigger engine !

Im going to buck the trend here and say that Im strangely not in love with my 'current' BMW. I bought the touring as a family car for my wife to take the kids about, but for various reasons she doesnt like it and back problems means its uncomfortable for her, so Ive ended up with it. Dont get me wrong its a superb car, it drives beautifully, it handles well, its actually pretty quick for what it is, comfort levels for normal sized people are excellent, it has all the toys, etc but there is nothing about it that I love. This is my 7th BMW and its the only one Ive felt this way about. If I could sell it I gladly would and not have even a moments angst about having done so. I never thought I would say this, but it really is just a car to me

I may have got the frequencies the wrong way around Let me check and get back to you. [edit] Sorry my mistake Telecoms 3G network was going to be 2100Mhz sites in the main cities and 2G 850Mhz everywhere else, but they are now considering WCDMA at 850Mhz which would mean 3G coverage better than Vodafones current 3G coverage.
-
Two comments on the above ^^^^ As far as Im aware Telecom hasnt confirmed the switch from 850Mhz to 2100Mhz yet for WCDMA. If they do make the change then Telecoms 3G coverage will be anywhere you currently get coverage. However what makes you think their plans will be any better ? Neither Telecom or Vodafone have any real competition and are open to charge whatever they like. Surely the iphone launch has just proven that.

I know this isnt going to help mate, but Ive just done SP3 and I still have the hibernate tab at the end and am having no problems. Have you tried google?
-
I dont really care one way or the other to be honest, they will look ten times better than the bottlecaps I have on now.
-
Thats all good then. I just faniced something other than the 14' bottlecaps on the car at the moment and with seconds to go, I just pressed the button !
-
Was just cruising TM before work this morning and spotted these with only seconds to go ! Forgetting about the price, have I bought the right ones ? I seem to remember that the offset is usually the problem with these, but I thought 24 was the correct size for my 325i Wheels Someone put me out of my misery please and if anyone has a spare centercap please get in touch
-
Read the blurb again mate, the cloth seats are knackered and only any good as spares and I dont have any spare door cards !
-
Youve not seen the TM scam were someone is selling a Z4 for peanuts thats quite clearly still in Ireland (or somewhere) then ?To be pedantic about it, TM rules state you must have the item in your posession. I personally couldnt care less where the car is, but if your selling the least you can do is give the car a clean and take some decent photos. Especially when your asking 50k !
-
Interestingly it came on the same week as another 535is in roughly the same condition but with a lot fewer kms. The other car had 6k no reserve and sold with the only bid on it. This one has been there every since. Ive seen nicer 535is' go for less money.
-
Bump. Just like everyone else it seems Im looking to sell my 325i ! I have a spare set of knackered cloth sports seats to go with it, a tech one rear wing (if the price it right) and various other bits and bobs Ive picked up along the way. Its done sod all milage compared to all the others for sale, the body work is in tip-top condition, it has all the fruit and it drives like a dream. TradeMe Come on people, I need this gone to get the next project going. The price is on the classified but Im open to offers.
-
One of the cars in the background has a yellow rear plate too....makes it interesting.
-
But in the end it just has to 'feel' right, and this one didnt Shame because with a little looking after these cars are awesome.

The search function is your friend Ray This has been discussed plenty of times. Basically I think it boils down to this. Singapore cars are less desirable because they tend to have more problems with the humidity and heat in Singapore than the Japanese imports. They are perceived to have more electrical problems and the various rubbers around the car tend to degenerate faster than other imports. The do however take less to get the radio/tv etc working as I believe they are the same frequency etc as NZ, but I dont remember the full details on that. I guess that with any car you buy it on condition and service history and not where its come from.

I have to agree with Josh here on the gearbox thing. Steptronic is much better then people give it credit for. I absolutely loved in on the 740 and it was great fun attached to that engine. When you consider how little you use a manual in modern day driving an auto with steptronic is a great solution.
