Hmmm, I remember seeing someone point it out on here, but its not on there at the moment. Might have a hunt around for the link.

Now that sounds like a plan Whats this one in Hawkes Bay thats available ?

Well you probably went for two WOF's and registered the car at some point aswell, so there is three chances for a start. Dont traffic wardens also check for registration and wof's ? Ive been stopped at at least half a dozen police checkpoints in the last 12 months too. When the plate reading cameras come in you'll be checked everytime you drive through town or on the motorway. I dont see how enforcing it can be a problem. As for the fine, it needs to be significant and if people dont pay, take the car and crush it. Im fed up with all the crap about 'there's no point in fining them because they wont pay', sort it out and get tough. Take their cars and either sell them for the debt or crush them. Its called personal responsibility and there isnt enough of it in this country. Too many people either blame the system or their parents or their schooling or whatever. They were your decisions you should pay the consequences. Ill get off my soap box now

Two points. Apex, IMO more expensive cars mean people hold on to the sh!te they have already. Get the cheap imports in as an alternative and get the crap off the road by failing wof's. Simon/Jeremy, I think its a joke that third party insurance is not compulsory. If you cant afford the insurance then you cant afford the car, its as simple as that. Why should I pay for someone elses inability to get a job that pays for their lifestyle ?....oh hold on I do that with my taxes already
-
Your lifestyle Man think of the roadtrip on the way back....bring a mate with you and cruise the North Island !!

Telll me what realistic means to you then !

Its also French for apple and the brits were well known to carry tonnes of them on their boats to battle scurvy

Every time there is a new post in this thread I hope its someone to say its been relisted Im still gutted I missed out.

There is only one way to get the junk off the road and thats to make the WOF testing more stringent. I have no problems bringing in cheap Jap alternatives, but its only any good if those driving the crap cars are forced to take them off the road in the first place. [edit] mcduck has just made an excellent point, when I say 'cheap Jap alternatives' I dont include the rubbish that initially flooded the market.

How much are we talking about Boris ? [edit] delivered to NZ Im talking about

Are you fellas interested in getting (or already know) how to get the football from the UK ? I download Match of the Day each week and you can get a huge amount of the games via other sources. PM me if your interested. Not just the premiership stuff either, you can get the Championship stuff too.
-
I dont watch any NZ tv. I record the news in case I want to see something in particular, the wife does Coro St and the Sunday theatre but absolutely nothing else. I dont even have Sky anymore. I get all my tv from the UK, Top Gear, Fifth Gear, Waking the Dead, Grand Designs, Have I Got News for You, Nevermind the Buzzcocks, Match of the Day, all the Arsenal games, lots of BBC doco's (I have David Attenborough's Planet Earth and Spy in the Jungle in HD) and watch it all as its released in widescreen and often HD and 5.1 surround. I have an self built HTPC hooked up to the old sky dish for freeview on DVB-S and a UHF aerial hooked up for DVB-T ready for the Olympics in HD that puts all HD content to my Samsung LCD. The best part is the automatic advert skipping. I can sit watching the news (once its finished) and it will automatically skip all of them

Anyone who forgets what National did the last time they were in power is a fool. Im as disappointed as anyone with Labours policies but the alternatives are just unthinkable. I just dont see National losing this though. Key hasnnt discussed a single National policy but he doesnt have to. Labour just wont stop digging the whole that has already swallowed them. I honestly have no idea what Im going to do this time. The last one was Labours last chance, but life for me and my family is getting harder and harder and yet Im paying more and more tax with none of it benefitting me.

I havent used either of these, but just wanted to add that when I was at Unisys a couple of years ago they couldnt get .net/sql developers to save their lives there was such a shortage. I have a c++ background but with the last 7/8 years doing solely sql development and was dead keen to learn but I was one person and they needed 20. They decided to forget the whole thing in the end and got a team in from India to do it all .Net is certainly popular, but I dont know how many developers there are available at the moment. Im a contractor and we are turning work away there is so much about.

^^^^ Holy sh1t, Jesus was born in Luton !!!! I was born in Hitchin in Herftfordshire. Came here originally in 86 when I was 15, went back to London for six years in 98 and been back since 2004. Wife was born in NZ to Dutch parents but she considers here at home. Not sure how I identify myself to be honest. Ive always felt more at home in England, certainly more anonymous. The kiwis always give me grief for being English whereas the English have a laugh about sheep for ten mins and then forget about it.
-
I didnt see that Yuen. He just told me anything around 15 would be enough. It was a hard decision to make but in the end I need to sell the touring first
-
Yep, the touring is going. Ill stick the money in the bank in the hope another M5 comes up. He said he traded the car at 15k (which was his reserve) but he would take anything around that. Cracking car for the price, whoever has it is a very lucky person.
-
Wasnt me He was quite prepared to remove it as long as he got something around his reserve. Just wish I had the cash sitting around to be able to do it. But with not knowing how long it might take to sell the touring (and the taxman wanting his pound of flesh soon) I just couldnt justify it.

Have your fun by all means, but we're not here to start a Bimmersport witch-hunt like last time. [spelling!]
-
Is it April 1 or something, surely this is a windup ?
-
Lets not have this end up the same as last time people. He may well be a grade A w4nker, he may well have no taste and he may well butcher perfectly good cars, but it has sod all to do with us. If you want to muck him about, do it in your own time and dont bring it here.

Perhaps the owner is English and not German. I have the 'GB' and Euro symbols with the UK font on mine, why would I want 'D' and the German font ?....and yes I know the Union Jack covers Scotland, Wales and Ireland aswell, but Ive never met anyone from those countries who would choose the Union Jack over their respective flags
-
A price indication would help mate.

and theyve been for sale for a long time too.
