OEM lights are all good, but your not allowed to apply a tint. Hasnt stopped several of us going all red on the rears and Ive never been failed a wof on it.Dont know about the all black look though. Are you a 6'8, 20 stone fella with bling earrings and lots of girls ?

I was behind one of these on the motorway yesterday and I just have to ask.......why ? Ive long admired the 'bangle' shape but this is just fcuking ugly. The rear looks like a right mess and I can imagine the rear visibility is that good with such a small rear window. It sits so high up aswell, but with the rear 'coupe' like section it doesnt look like youd get much in it other than a couple of passengers. I just dont see the point when you have the X5 already looking the business and having much more space.

Why do people wet themselves as soon as they see the magic 100000 ? In NZ its the kms, in the UK its miles. Personally I think this car will be one of two things. If its all good and has been looked after then its an absolute bargain at that price. I helped my mate buy one a few years ago and I can tell you it goes like a cut cat. If its not been looked after it will swallow 10k without even blinking. If the gearbox goes your looking at 6k plus easily. The dual mass flywheel in these is 2.5k alone. Add on the potential around the cooling system as Paul has already mentioned and there's another grand. If anyone is serious about this car then I suggest you do your homework and get it properly checked out. If its all ok then its an awesome car to own.

if you do end up having to get a control unit (for whatever they decide the fault it) consider getting one from either the UK or Germany on ebay. I had a shock sensor go for the side airbags and they wanted 880+gst just for the unit never mind the fitment, but I got one from Germany for 80 landed, stripped the seat out myself and got a sparky to install and rest everything. Cost me less than half the dealer price for the part to put it all right.

Do people really care about resale value when they buy a car though ? Perhaps on a new one, but then if you can afford a new BMW you can afford the depreciation.But for a car like this your going to be buying it for a while, so does it really matter. Personally I really like the colour. Would look awesome after a decent 3-step and so different to the boring silvers and greys

It sold for 9k last week but the buyer pulled out. But as you say fuel prices are slaughtering prices on these cars at the moment.
