I have a set of Pistons which have had the ring grooves recut, and the valve pockets pocketed further to take bigger cams. You can have them for the cost of the machining (which I'm yet to find out but it'll be bugger all.) pm me if you are keen. They are as good as new.

Ive never been able to work out what everyone is so anal about when a car gets written off and recomplied etc. Especially a car with such minimal looking damage. Would rather this one in a rebuilt state than some shitter that some muppet has owned for 2 years and wanks on about it having a JC sticker and a service history that stopped in 1999.

Hello I took my trims off to replace plastic windows and now have no idea where they have gone. Ideally these would be from a shell that is about to be chucked away etc as it would be a shame to ruin good doors to take them off. I need the chrome bits that go on the bottom part of the window. Condition doesn't matter but have to be straight-ish Any help would be rad Cheers Ash

Can you not just use the standard e30 linkage and cut the rubber out and bolt together? I have a sh*t load of room with m52 and Eaual headers.

You should keep that sleeve on and just trim that black plastic thing a bit. Makes lining the steering up way easier if you are by yourself. Also, it can only go in so far as you can't get the bolt through if it's too far in/not far in enough.

I get a shitload of the Indian telemarketers calling me because my mobile number is on our website. Normally when they ring I am sitting in traffic so just lead them on a wild goose chase for about 45 mins until they ask for my credit card number and then I rip into them. This happens probably 5-7 times a month. Normally it's for a SEO company that promises to take my website to number one on google. That sucks I feel for ya. Pretty crappy world we live in that you can write someone's car off and not take responsibility for it financially -through insurance or not. Had some island woman (and I use that term very loosely as it was questionable) write off my brothers wrx when he was 17. Spent a year trying to get money out of her to which she replied she couldn't afford it as she had no job/money/insurance. In the end got a court order for $7 per week until the $ was paid off. I'm pretty sure he is still getting paid now. I constantly think to myself when there is some prick in an estima/Previa/crv sitting right up my arse that if you crash into me, you are not going to be able to afford to pay for my car to be repaired, so I move over. Who did you get to do the quote out of curiosity? Is it possible to get another quote for $3k cheaper?

Just a note on this and it may be case by case I don't know. I just had the bottom end assembled using m54 crank,rods and Pistons, the Pistons sit about 4mm too low in the bore. So thinking I'm going to have to use a longer rod, presumably out of an early m50 non vanos. I have these so I'll give them a go and report back.

But *this* one only has 170. Mediocre at best.
